Cotton Mom got a reaction from bigk413 in vyvanse to reduce binge eating?
My husband has taken vyvanse for a year or so and has lost 70 lbs. I started my first day of vyvanse today to help the bingeing I have so bad at night. I am also logging all of my meals and watching what I eat. It helps me feel more alert but I am just on the starting dose.

I agree with Babbs 100% on both replys.
I had put back on 20 at about year 4 i think.....and when my jeans didn't fit... that was a sign to me to get my a$$ back on the wagon. I put myself in Check and lost that 20 and 20 more... So it can be done... if you want it bad enough.

I just went in for my 6 month check up and my doctor is recommending starting Saxenda due to cravings and unhealthy snacking. I'm hoping it curbs my cravings and that I will start losing weight again!

I ordered the chicken Soup for post op and got it yesterday... it taste like a broth but not as salty so I think I will like it if I can get it to mix well. I didn't get the other flavors because I'm thinking I'm going to go with another brand once I'm off Clear Liquids post op

So I am just about a year out since my surgery. Had it on May 23rd of 2016.
Far and away I can say this was the BEST decision that I have ever made in my life. My highest weight was 433 lbs with my surgery weight at 397 lbs. Proud to say just about a year after surgery I currently weigh 194 pounds. 203 pounds down since the surgery and 241 down overall.
I literally cannot even tell you how much this has changed my life for the better. I am posting this because I want everyone to know that if I did it you can too. If anyone has literally any questions at all for me please don't hesitate to reach out. I

Today I Celebrate my 1 year anniversary of my sleeve surgery!
It's amazing how much has changed in a year! I've lost 118lbs. I've gone from a tight size 28 jean to a loose 18, and a 4X shirt to an XL. I recently fit in an airplane seat comfortably and didn't need a seat belt extender. I love clothes shopping now, can pound out an hour on the elliptical with ease, and can paint my own toenails AND breathe at the same time! =)
I still have about 60 lbs to go, but I have no doubts that I will get there. I feel amazing already, and it's only going to keep getting better from here.

I am beyond ecstatic. I am now below 300 pounds! I started at 540 pounds on October 29, 2015 when I started this whole journey. I had surgery on May 29, 2016 at 480 pounds and Now, 10 1/2 months later I weigh 297.8! I have not had a 2 in the front of my weight in FOREVER. I only have 98 pounds to go until I hit my goal! (Which may change, I'm more going for a clothing size goal now more than a number goal )

I used to have to be on oxygen all the time because I was so fat I could not breathe properly. Now I can walk for over an hour with no break and not be out of breath! I am so extremely happy with my progress!

I used to HATE getting my picture taken, it was the WORST. Now I love getting in front of the camera, I ASK for pictures to be taken! This is the craziest thing for me. I feel pretty for the first time in a very very long time.

I started out at a size 6x (36-38) and now wear a an 18/20 on top and 22 on bottom. I even wear leggings now!

I have a large hanging skin on my stomach which I am having removed on June 5th! I will need a revision surgery when I get to goal but I am very excited for the surgery and the relief it will give me.

Here are some before and after pics for you guys!

Getting it over with and passing the 4-6 week mark with no leaks. Honestly, that is the #1 thing I am looking forward to.
Outside of that, I am most excited about the idea of aches and pains subsiding, improving the overall quality of my life (and lifespan, as obesity-related diseases run on both sides of my family) and a distant 3rd is clothes. I will definitely have fun shopping again!

CLOTHING! I have always been heavy but most of my weight gain is more recent. I really look forward to fitting into some of my old clothes. I have donated a lot of smaller things but there are quite a few pieces I kept. I also had to buy some bigger clothing throughout the year to hold me over. I can't wait to donate it all! And although it's always a struggle in the clothing stores, I can not wait for the day I no longer need to find the "plus size" section (or should I say the few racks shoved in the corner with no signage).

Ultimately, it's probably best to just let it go. 4 months is better than none. Babies do fine on formula, and with dehydration and malnourishment as a possibility for you, breastfeeding right now isn't ideal. Do yourself and your baby the favor of taking care of you right now.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! Very motivating! I'll have my surgery at the end of March. The skin removal sounds like it was more of an ordeal to get over than the sleeve. How long after the surgery did you do yours?

Pretty good article that describes what a lot of us have gone through. I do think they are a little light on some of the downsides (weight regain, cross addiction, etc) but one of the more comprehensive mainstream articles I've seen.

I had to have six months education and tests at the Bariatric center, even had to see a psychiatrist. Plus support group once a month before and for two years after. Quality surgeon and team. They let no one rush into it. That is the kind of doctor people should look for
