One week left for me. I’ve struggled a little with the pre-op diet the last couple of days, mostly because I can’t stomach (still) Protein Shakes so I’m mostly eating yogurt, one egg and Bone Broth. I did cheat yesterday (I was soooo hungry) and now feel really guilty. Ugh.

I am so happy to hear that. I'm on day 7 of the Keto preop diet and although it has gotten easier exhaustion-wise and foggy-wise, the headaches are still not gone. I agree about the higher energy levels though and am also so excited for my body to change. Keep up the good work. Happy to be on this journey together!

That’s awesome! Woo hoo im so excited!! April 18 yes you are close to my date ! I’m so worried about the pre op it will be during my Bertha’ birthday and I’m not telling anyone do this is going to be a bit of a challenge.

Yes it’s the plan the bariatric dept uses. It’s $100 per week. I need two weeks of it. They did say if I couldn’t afford it that I could do it on my own. My insurance does not cover it. They made that clear. But the nutritionist did say I will be spending on the shakes if I do it on my own. I do have a bunch of my own shakes but I won’t find out the types they want me to use until my surgery clearance appt. Coming up soon.

New to this group. I got my surgery date last week, I go in on April 12. Will be starting my pre-op liquid diet on 3/29.

I did watch a video from a surgeon who said most obese people tend to look better when they weigh 15-20lbs more than their lowest goal weight. I've been thinking about that for a while because my goal is to be on the thinner side & this reminded me of that. This post does come off harsh & I feel a bit bad but I understand where you're coming from. I'm glad she's happy however!
