I got vsg on April 17. And so far I feel like I can eat anything!! Ugh I'm so hungry all the time. Trying to concentrate on mostly protein but still feel so hungry ? I don't see the bari doctor until 5/30 I'm down 31 lbs but 15 is from pre-op diet .. I feel like I'm failing ?

Yesssssssssss! Tell me about it!! I'm soooooooo in my head!! I go Monday! 4/17 ... I'm on day 12 down 14 lbs and started thinking why can't I just keep doing this! I'd be happy at 180 ? because I know once I slip... That one time I think I'm ok....... and start eating carbs.... and breads will lead me down that addiction slippery slope!!! I already know I can't do it on my own!!!! I've tried EVERYTHING!!! I want a chance with this tool a new small tummy to start over ? I'm going to work hard at it! Feed it only what it needs! Get all my fluids in! Lose as much as I can in this first year and then I might try lil treats here and there. I need to get a hold of this food addiction. ? I wish you all the best! ??☝???♥️

Yes it’s the plan the bariatric dept uses. It’s $100 per week. I need two weeks of it. They did say if I couldn’t afford it that I could do it on my own. My insurance does not cover it. They made that clear. But the nutritionist did say I will be spending on the shakes if I do it on my own. I do have a bunch of my own shakes but I won’t find out the types they want me to use until my surgery clearance appt. Coming up soon.

Hi ?? did anyone use the Robard high protein low carb products for their pre-op diet? I need to pay $200 for my two week pre op diet and just wondering if these products help or I should just do it on my own ??‍♀️ Thanks!

Hi everyone! I'm 5'2 236 lbs BMI is 43. I'm scheduled for gastric sleeve on August 9th. After doing some research I'm seeing that many gain back if not, all their weight. I totally understand that this surgery is merely a tool, but up to me, to change my bad eating habits. I'm just wondering if anyone had permanent or serious health changes due to the surgery? Eg; fatigue due to vitamin loss, hormonal changes, permanent hair loss, no weight loss at all, etc. And anything you would share with me! Thank you!

I saw a you tube of him doing the actual sleeve surgery and he seemed very thorough. I was actually scheduled at ALM-Mi Doctor and there was a death on 3/25. Scared the crap out of me and I canceled! I liked dr illan because of course the price is right and he only does 2-3 sleeves in one day as opposed to 7 or 8.

Has anyone had the sleeve done with Dr. Jalil Illan frajio? Can you recommend him?
