  1. Good luck to everyone having surgery this week! Mine is Tuesday. The preop diet is killing me which has made me truly ready for the surgery. Sorry to be a whiner lmao but I'm so ready for them to cut my stomach off so I'm not this starving all the time!
  2. Mine's on the 8th! Started pre-op diet and incentive spirometer work today. Also had my H&P today. Everything is in motion now and it's gotten very real very fast!
  3. You look amazing and sound so much happier than you were before! So happy for you!
  4. You look fantastic! Love the hair too!
  5. Oh my gosh, has anyone tried any of the BP microwave packets of their entrees? I bought a couple of the hamburger helper type protein entrees and the one kind I tried was so disgusting that I literally will never be able to try the other kinds. I am very sensitive to gross chemical-y flavors and IDK if it's the protein or just the whole of all the ingredients but I swear I can still smell the funk in my apartment weeks after cooking it, and I can smell it through the package in my pantry and it's making me gaggy just thinking about it!! I bought several options to try before my surgery so I'd have an idea what I could stomach...and I have learned that I can't stomach them with my normal stomach!!! Lesson learned I guess, stick to whole, normal foods. What the hell do I do with all this wasted food now? I hate to throw it away. But I know I won't be able to eat them either, they've got the same smell. I bought the protein soups too and can't even bring myself to try them. Does anyone actually like these? Please feel free to come take them out of my stank pantry since I can't build up the courage to throw them out yet because they were expensive AF [emoji23]
  6. Girl you look amazing!! And so happy for you and proud of you, you deserve all the happiness!
  7. Sorry I was headed to bed when I posted this, grabbed the link for you. https://lornasaurustuff.tumblr.com/post/161080365196/muneo-manyeo-luxuriant-starlight-zerosuit
  8. I just saw a video where a girl used white elmers glue mixed with grits and turmeric and cayenne pepper powder? On the dark spots on her armpits and let it sit to dry then peeled it off and it was ALL GONE after.
  9. You look amazing. Appreciate everyday for what it is and don't get so obsessed with numbers that you aren't enjoying how fit you are now!!
  10. Glad you're getting out. Your kids will be okay with some time to heal. Proud of you!
  11. Nurses are supposed to be superhuman and never eat, never drink, never pee! Food and drinks aren't allowed on the floor in most hospitals, board of health is afraid we'll spill blood in our coffee and then drink it anyway or something. As a nursing student you'll prob have an area for your group to keep your stuff, just go in often between rounds and get a sip.
  12. You look fantastic! Love the redder hair too!
  13. Are you saying I'm still a maniac? Lol jk, I know I am. I'm very up and down and anxious. Will try to relax.
  14. Thanks so much! I'm working on finding foods I like that are better for me but also satisfying. What do you like?
  15. Thanks! And Yay August pals! I'll shoot you a message so we remember
  16. I'm going to agree in the gentlest way possible that you've made this entirely about yourself instead of his wellness and you sound incredibly selfish.
  17. Thanks! This post isn't that old lol . I'm scheduled for August 8th. I did do well on a prescription stimulant for weight loss (also found out then that I prob have adult ADD because I was like literally a new human able to function and study!) but they wouldn't let me stay on it permanently, so all the weight bounced right back. "Surgery makes it bearable to quit food as we know it" that's what I'm hoping. I know I have a problem and I do as much as I can against it but nothing has been entirely effective permanently. It's frustrating. Food addiction is the only addiction where you have to continue to use your drug of choice to survive and trust yourself to do it without overdosing, and that's a b***h.
  18. Happy for you! So soon! I'm starting to feel anticipation. Wouldn't quite call it excitement yet lol. I'm very afraid I'll fail, I think, it's probably some subconscious self protection.
  19. Here, at least you have the choice to not open the thread.
  20. Hahaha exactly how I feel! My big pre-op class is the same day as my pre-op testing. I appreciate them putting it all together like that, it's like they remember we're actually people with jobs and lives and things to do lol. When is your surgery?
  21. Just got my letter, pre admission testing and Upper GI are scheduled for July 20th, I meet with my surgeon the 25th and then surgery is August 8th. Anyone else scheduled for August? I kinda... feel like I wanna barf lol
