  1. I hope I reach this point. I'm dreaming about digging food out of the trash every single night. [emoji23]
  2. Update: dare I say...The texture is almost nice. Still tastes like poison though. [emoji58]
  3. I can get my fluids as long as they're not tainted with any kind of sweetener or demon whey protein lol. It's been a rough go. I can't tolerate any protein drinks. Can stomach about one cup of milk a day and a cup of some chicken or beef stock. My dietician is pretty keen on liquid protein supplements for like, ever, and that's just not going to work for me. It's going to have to come from whole foods as soon as I'm able. She's suggested as a very last resort I try a medical protein concentrate called Liquacel and I ordered some samples but I can pretty much already imagine how it's gonna go with that too. I feel your pain and I can't even reassure you that it's going to get better but I hope it does for us both!! [emoji171][emoji171]
  4. If you're sweet/sweetener averse..It's vile. I have 5/6ths of a case you can have lol. (I'm gonna try to freeze some into a popsicle mold today, if I can't stomach it then it's going to hell where it belongs.)
  5. I was watching an old episode of My 600 lb Life last night (I watch for free sessions with the shrinks lmao) and the therapist struck a cord with me when she said 'there's healthy discomfort (motivates change, pulls your hand off a hot stove etc.) and unhealthy discomfort (being violated)' in regards to the ...Discomfort of sitting with your discomfort. Just stewed on it a bit and I can't really get where I was going with this except that sitting uncomfortably with your healthy discomfort (instead of eating it) is what motivates the change. And we are safe with that healthy discomfort and nothing /actually/ bad is happening while we do that except that discomfort that we've been so desperately trying to avoid.
  6. I was given two from the hospital. Washed one and it fell apart. Babying the second one because it feels nice and cozy and snug and safe. But also itchy.
  7. Thanks I've definitely thought about trying some of the Fairlife chocolate milk even though it's not sugar free. I have started some yogurt drinks, though they're a struggle with the fake sweeteners too. Broth is one of the few things I can tolerate like once a day. Might buy some regular sugar sweetened and plain unsweetened Greek yogurt and mix them and thin them out. I've put another call in to my dietician so we'll see what else she's okay with when she calls back.
  8. Oh god same. I couldn't stand milk before and now I am hardly getting any protein, my taste aversion to all my protein drink options is so unbearably strong. I can't even look at the containers without gagging. All the fake sweeteners are killing me. They taste like literal poison. Hope you're doing better now. I'm staying with my parents and my mom asked me today what I was having for breakfast (she's trying so hard to help me bless her) and I laughed and said 'Regret' and promptly burst into tears. I dread waking up and starting the process over again every day. Tomorrow is one week out. I've had a remarkably easy physical recovery with little pain, but I feel like I'm getting worse every day now. I hope it gets easier from here. [emoji30]
  9. Oh god I'd end up in the hospital for sure if I had to continue this that long. I just cannot tolerate all the fake sweeteners! Congrats on your success! I hope I'll feel better by a month out too!
  10. That outfit! Your hair! Your lipcolor! Flawless! Congrats on your success!
  11. I've done nothing but cry all day because I am having such extreme taste aversion to everything I'm allowed on my full liquid post op diet and this made me literally LOL so thank you. [emoji171]
  12. You look amazing! Your hair too!! [emoji7][emoji7]
  13. Lol I'm looking forward to the deep nap! Thanks for the encouragement! Heading to hospital now :)
  14. Surgery tomorrow, can't sleep!! Mostly because I'm so hungry lol
  15. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
  16. Your story just hit a nerve with me and I wanted to know you'd be okay. You were in my thoughts! . Hope you're still doing well!
  17. Thanks so much! Will be sure to update you guys after surgery when I'm able!
  18. I'm not sure if I'll have a pain pump but they do seem to be very proactive about pain. They've given me RXs for Gabapentin (I'm guessing for nerve pain? Maybe it'll help the gas pain!?) And for Celebrex (def for inflammation) to take before the surgery. I'm hopefully over mentally prepared so it's not as bad as I'm expecting! Totally ready to walk! I feel you on the heart hunger. I've been doing a lot of soul searching these past few days. I've got to find something I love to fill my binge holes (minus my mouth lol) and I'm already about entirely divorced from protein shakes so it's gonna be water and a new hobby. Think I'm gonna try to put more effort into learning to draw.
  19. Good luck to you Monday! Let us know how you're doing!
  20. Worried about pain as we get closer!! And my overwhelming desire to binge because I've been so hungry on this two week mostly liquid diet! Deprivation definitely triggers binges for me. I'm hangry and ready to get on with the surgery if only to not be ..So..hangry.
  21. I'm so glad I'm single and child free for that reason!! I'm hard enough to deal with on my own lol. Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm starting to get a little worried about the pain. I feel like I'm getting less pain tolerant with age--maybe it's just more anxious lol. Keep up the good work. It sounds like you're in high spirits! What's been the hardest part for you so far?
  22. It will come fast now! I'm starting to panic because I have so much to do beforehand! Aghhh! Exciting days ahead!
