well after a vacation and coming back @ 300 i'm down to 295 for 3 days . I guess it's true - I actually weigh under 300lbs. I love my band!!!

I'm still at the point that people just know something is different "get new haircut?". Family and close friends I tell thme that basically I have to lose my 18yo daughter Tiffany (125lbs) to be just "overweight" anfd they can't beleive it. "you're not that heavy" well yeah I am, that' why i needed this surgury. But it is hard to admit that. Gigi PS you guys are an inspiration, keep up the great work

Hey Linda, You are doing great. I was losing about a pound a day, but of course once i started on soft food - nothing, but i'm going tostart upping the exercise (i.e. stop getting the girls to walk the dog and do it myself lol) and I'm sure it will start getting better. also with soft foods came a bit of hunger, but Thursday I'm getting my first fill. I got banded @ Lenox Hill, just really clicked with the surgeon, and I love how the office is run, I can actually get in and out in 1/2 hour which allows me to do it while @ work (shhh). Keep up the great work, I'm so waiting to see 299, and I'm sure that's part of why I stalled. Gigi

I'd like to check in . Got banded 7/28 @314lbs (331lbs to start) and this morning i was 300 - so close i can taste it I get my first fill next week and think i need it not hungry but feel i can eat too much in a sitting. Congrats I can't wait to join you all

Had my 1 week post op visit today and I lost 8 lbs so far which is great considering I put on 8 lbs after surgery. I know I will cry when it's 299 that i see on the scale it's been so so long. I'll be getting a fill in 2 1/2 weeks and looking forward to it. I am not hungry yet (but I do have dreams about breaking open a popeye's spicy chicken thigh lol). I'm walking the dog for 20 min every morning and parking 1/2 mile from work to get in a little more walking. At the dr's office I saw someone who had surgery the same day - she was feeling weak and hadn't lost anything I kind of felt guilty but I'm sure my issues are coming at some point. I might as well enjoy while the going is good. just needed to share Gigi

I was looking up rowing machines and this came up what a riot!

since I got banded in july missing out on some of the best beach and pool time I already decided that I will go to the carribean in feb or mar hopefully 40-50 lb down. Goal - mediterranean cruise for a full 2 weeks

I'm home, got banded yesterday it went very well - thanks for the prayers and good thoughts everyone. best to all those going today and the rest of the week. I'm tired will post surgery day story later Gigi

Hi I too was very concerned abut making the right decision for me, I ended up going to 5 seminars to get a fel for the surgeons. Alos I read every review of every doctor I was considering on Obesity help website. when I narrowe it down I did searches for specific surgeons on this web site and there are a lot of "rate the docctor" websites also.
