Well today g@ a college open house with my DD#2 when we went into the classroom i was able to fit in the desk chair, and did it without thinking - with DD#1 i would stand at the side so as not to get stuck in those chairs. Woo Hoo

all my well fitting and sometimes too tight trousers can be taken off with the button still button Yee ha!!

What a day! I hit 50lbs gone from my highest weight :biggrin: . I walked my second 5k and took 3 mn off my time(so not a big deal but to me huge). Then had my first (hopefully only) sliming episode :biggrin:. To my amazement i kept holding on to that piece of egg roll as if i would be able to eat it after i stopped feeling like i had a burning ball of fire in my chest, how sick am i? I know i ate too fast and took too big a bite (take human bites!). I'm happy this fill i got last thursday is working , but the reminder of the band being there doing its job was intense. Lesson learned i hope.

May I get in? I will continue to go to Y 5 x a week and do treadmill for 40 min; weights machines 20 min then the elliptical for 20 min. I also walked my first 5K (Miles for Midwives) today in under 1 hour (which is fabulous for me)

After telling my family and children I only told my chief midwife because I knew she would be supportive. that was before the surgery, since if people ask me what i'm doing to lose the weight I will tell them, because this tool has been a lifesaver I was truly afraid that in a few years i wouldn't be able to walk because of my knees, i am actually going to the gym tonight. but as someone else said sometimes its the overweight ones who seem more judgemental than others. oh well.. it took me a while to get to my breaking point also

Loved My surgeon Dr. Roslin he works out of Lenox Hill hospital which was quite impressive talking as a health professional. his office is midtown (way too close to bloomies - lol) and it runs incredibly well. I'd recommend the practice to anyone

What a fabulous job!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Ok, whew, I'm going to do this. I was banded 7/28 ams have lost19 lbs since the surgery. I'm happy with that but I know exercise has to be a part of my "recovery". I'm going to do the couch to 5k starting today sot that i can hopefully run/walk a 5k in october. My sister who's been running for years has said she'll do it with me, but i need to make myself accountable to fellow lapbanders. wish me luck folks, and if anyone feels like joining me I would be so happy. gigi

Down 19lbs in 4 weeks. I'm happy, but I'm starting @ the Y and also starting a couch to 5K. I still feel I eat to much @ a sitting and hoping my second fill helps with that, but I can't complain because the scale keeps moving in the right direction just slowly.
