So are you going sleeve or bypass. For me if is going to do it, I wanted an one an done, go all the way. That way I don't have to go back. It turns out that there were medical reasons my doctor wanted me to go bypass (mainly reflux).
Banding is relatively minor compared to sleeve and sleeve is less the bypass but I figure while they have me out I would give myself the best chance!

I sit here this mother's day morning and ask myself so many questions. Will the surgery be successful? How will I look next mother's day? How will people search me once the weigthloss begins? I thank God for the opportunity to even have the surgery, I've struggled with obesity since childhood and now it will be the new me in all my potential! Obviously, I've changed significantly the way I eat it's part of the process. Oh you don't know, I had the Lap-Band (2008) and lost 100 pounds and have gained 50 another failed lapband surgery. Then I met the surgeon he said sleeve was best, then I met the main surgeon who said Gastric bypass was best and here I am 29 days before surgery. Excited but nervous, anxious but peaceful and thanking God!

I've been meeting with my doctor since January. I'm scheduled to have my surgery on June 26th, and I've gained eight pounds. I haven't been weighing myself and actively trying to lose weight since I decided to have the surgery. My doctor says that I should try to lose those eight pounds before the surgery because it will mean I will lose even more weight after the surgery.
I'm just getting frustrated annoyed with myself. Have you experienced this? Am I stressing over nothing?

I've tried to find the group but can't! Secondly it took 2 days for my insurance to approve my revision surgery from lapband to gastric bypass sad new I have to pay for the lapband removal portion myself....

Is it ever not a headache dealing with any insurance industry? Their goal is not to pay for your healthcare.
Anyways, I wish you luck in dealing with them. Just make sure you have your ducks in a row.
