    Pregnancy post OP

Hey guys! I haven't been on here in forever, but I'm just trying to see if anyone has had a pregnancy post op gastric sleeve, what your experience was, how much did you gain? Or, if you are pregnant, how are you currently feeling and how has your pregnancy been so far? I'm 13.5 weeks. This will be my third baby, first since having the sleeve done. I'm 15 months post op, and it was a surprise. I was actually on the mirena IUD and got pregnant.. oops.. but things happen. So far I have lost 4 lbs. I'm on prenatals, plus b12. I'm also on antibiotics my entire pregnancy because I've had two UTIs since getting pregnant and one kidney infection, not sure why... I also start mekena shots in a few weeks. (My daughter was preemie.) I was just wondering how everyone's pregnancies went post op, how was it different from previous if you had babies before the sleeve. Pain in stomach.

I had my gallbladder removed laproscopicly last Tuesday. Today I've been having pain at and around my belly button that is so tender just brushing it against something makes me cry in pain.. It also feels like there's a lump above my belly button in the middle of my stomach.. anyone experienced this? I was in the ER Friday because I was having issues with breathing for some reason and my CT scan showed fluid building up around my belly button and where my gallbladder used to be, but they said they weren't going to do anything about it.. Any advice? If it's still like this tomorrow I'm going to the ER.. my surgeons out of town all next week Sent from my Z799VL using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. So I'm 18 days post op, I've already had to go to my surgeons office once for rehydration as I'm having a hard time getting my water and protein in, but since Wednesday I've been having really severe left stomach pain when standing and walking. It's okay as long as I'm laying down and not moving, but that's not realistic since I have 2 kids under 5... My pain wasn't bad after surgery and i only needed my pain mess the first few days post op, so this is something completely new to me... has anyone had pain like this before?

    Can't keep anything down

I have tried premier protein and it was too much for my stomach to handle, it made me very sick..
  6. So I went to my two week check today, and I have a hard time getting my protein shakes in because of the grittiness (I've tried premade, different brands etc) so he decided to keep me on liquids for another month, and told me to drink Ensure clear instead... I drank some and it made me throw up everything. Now my stomach feels like it's been ripped opened... and I'm also having a hard time getting even water in now... I'm at a loss... [emoji22]
  7. The first few weeks post surgery you're not going to meet your protein or fluid goals... I'm 8 days post op and still can't. It takes me all day to drink one protein drink...it will get easier! Don't push yourself too hard! And yes it's normal to get full off a few sips! Remember, your new tummy can only hold about an ounce every 15 minutes.

    Protein drinks

I can not STAND premier protein or isopure. The only protein drink I can handle is muscle milk. It's creamy, goes down easy, and isn't gritty tasting at all! Get a few different flavors and try some out!
  9. I am one week post op and for the past few days I'm having a really hard time tolerating anything. I can't even seem to get water down without instantly feeling sick to my stomach. I haven't vomited yet but I've been close... I have been taking my nausea medicine but it's not helping. I think I maybe dehydrated? Any opinions? I feel terrible.

    March sleevers

    March 1st!
  11. Hey guys I just had my surgery 3/1. Everything has been going okay except I started bleeding today, almost like a period but it only happens when I'm up walking around and doing things. Is this normal, am I just possibly over doing it? I have the mirena birth control and I haven't had a period in almost 2 years.
