CantStopMeNow reacted to Sullie06 in Carbonated drinks
My surgeon told me that I can have carbonated Water, after 3 months. He said to try a little and see how it goes. If I'm comfortable drinking it, he has no issue with me drinking it. According to him there are no stretching issues caused by carbonation and if I tolerate the bubbles he sees no reason for me not to. I had a seltzer on vacation a couple weeks ago and I was more gassy but I did not experience any pain associated with it.

If you're dying for something, have a sip. See how it goes. If it goes well, have another sip. If it doesn't go well, you're not ready. Be careful and good luck.

CantStopMeNow reacted to OutsideMatchInside in Kinda OT: What do you guys think of Mama June's news headlines about her VGS & Body Lift?
The more photos I see of her, the more I think she should have lost more weight. Her feet are so fat they look inflated. They never show her legs but you can see they are still trunks in the pictures of her in jeans. Her face and neck are still fat. She still looks like she needs to drop 50 pounds.
I feel like they just faked/rush her whole process for TV.

CantStopMeNow reacted to elbee in I don't like the way I feel
I was sleeved 3/15, home from hospital on 3/17. Surgery went well no complications. Since friday I have felt this morning sickness type discomfort. I was on 3 different anti nausea meds in hospital, never vomited but heaved a few times. Haven't taken any prescribed zofran yet because I wanted to really feel what I really feel like post-op. If that makes sense. Anyway, the feeling is terrible any moms out there relate? I feel like I'm 12 weeks pregnant minus the fatigue. I haven't felt the urge to vomit just existing with this nauseated unwell feeling. Ive been meeting/exceeding my Water and Protein requirements. I used to be a savory craver but I can't stomach the thought of having anything except my Protein Shakes or something slightly sweet. Just like when I was pregnant. Will this get better? I'm so depressed.

CantStopMeNow reacted to blizair09 in Progresso Soup ...
Strained Campbell's Cream of chicken Soup was my go-to back then. Even a small portion still had about 6 carbs if I remember correctly, so I ate it pretty sparingly.

CantStopMeNow reacted to mylighthouse in Progresso Soup ...
I found that the best cream Soups for me were Campbell's. I was required to strain the Soups so that there were no chunks of anything in there. My favorite was cream of celery.
I would stay away from the real fattening and high carb soups, although some fat is good. Probably, at this point, you aren't going to be able to eat much anyway and the calories and carbs you are getting from the amount of Soup you will be able to eat really won't add up to much. If you're not already using it, myfitnesspal is great for tracking carbs, fats, Protein and calories.

CantStopMeNow got a reaction from dvmp61 in Can I have a protein shake the first week after surgery?
Right now I'm eating chicken broth for Breakfast, lunch, & dinner. I don't know if I can do this any longer? I'd like to at least have a Protein Shake for breakfast and not chicken broth

I'm a week out and feel I can eat anything. But it's not about us. It's about the new pouch and our insides healing properly. I have to remind myself that. Good luck

CantStopMeNow reacted to DaleCruse in How soon can we begin to workout
IMO (and my surgical team) it's up to you. If you feel ready, go for it. I'd start light and progress from there. I was on the treadmill the second day I was home from the hospital. Good luck!

As long as it's in liquid form you can.

CantStopMeNow reacted to mylighthouse in Can I have a protein shake the first week after surgery?
Are you on Clear liquids only right now? What did your doctor tell you?
If you are on full liquids then you can have Protein shakes and other things too like strained cream Soups.... you need to ask your doctor if you are unsure.

I really like the Premier Protein rtd shakes of chocolate and banana cream. And surprisingly the Carnation Instant Breakfast sugar free powder mix isn't bad either.
