Progresso Soup ...

Hello everyone I am two weeks post op and I have been given the ok to go ahead and have cream soups... but not sure which kind which brand.. what to look for? Should I be careful in Carbs? Calories? Sodium? All of the above? :/

I was thinking Progresso but idk? What are your thoughts?

    I found that the best cream Soups for me were Campbell's. I was required to strain the soups so that there were no chunks of anything in there. My favorite was cream of celery. I would stay away

    Strained Campbell's Cream of chicken soup was my go-to back then. Even a small portion still had about 6 carbs if I remember correctly, so I ate it pretty sparingly.

I would stay away from the real fattening and high carb soups, although some fat is good. Probably, at this point, you aren't going to be able to eat much anyway and the calories and carbs you are getting from the amount of Soup you will be able to eat really won't add up to much. If you're not already using it, myfitnesspal is great for tracking carbs, fats, Protein and calories.
