4realaboutit! reacted to katieroybal in April Sleevers, What Changes Have You Noticed?
I was sleeved 4/5 and have lost almost 30 lbs between the pre-op and surgery. Here are a list of things I notice:
My lower legs don't hurt as much when I walk. I don't have to spread my legs out as much as before just to walk. If I pay attention, I don't waddle as much. I'm loosing in my upper waist, face and butt. I'm going to miss my butt. I still mentally crave large portions. I dream of food on occasion. I can bend down without too much trouble. I'm still tired in the afternoons but that is going away. Loosing fat hurts! I swear I can feel the fat transform because my thighs and back of my arms ache. Like soreness after working out but more painful. I'm not doing any weight lifting right now. -

Sleeved April 25th, since surgery lost about 19lbs. Beside getting smaller, I'm already sleeping better, and no hip pains. On the flip side, I'm cold all the time. Overall I'm enjoying the challenge & tranformation. [emoji16]

It might just be that you need to walk more. I got sleeved 4/13 and I'm down 29lbs. I do walk a lot though. I usually walk 3-4 miles a day

I was sleeved 4/6 and am down 30 lbs (14 preop and 16 postop)
Out of the plus size dept, (at least in tops)
can walk without my knees and back hurting
face is thinner, starting to recognize myself again!!!
walking 2-3 miles per day and prior to surgery a walk to the corner mailbox was torture between knee pain and being out of breath
sleeping so much better, like I turned the clock back 20 years on that one!
Congrats to everyone who has made this decision and is transforming.

Thanks for all the support guys. I haven't been back to my surgeon, therapist, or nutritionist, in a long time. I feel too ashamed of myself. I will somehow try to find the courage to pick up and try again with some of the rules that they taught us

4realaboutit! reacted to Modern Day Esme in Newbie Looking For A Journey Buddy(ies)
Hi everyone!
I'm Anyse ( or Esme ) and completely new to the site. I'm 25 years old and was sleeved on Friday March 10th, 2017. While I'm here looking for a good support group/system, I figured I would try to look for others who maybe in my area who are looking for a journey buddy as well. I'm from Delaware County Pennsylvania and have lived here most to all of my life. So far I am on day 4 of my post op liquid diet and already feeling more great then I have felt in a very long time. I can't wait until I feel ( and look) even greater.

You might want to ask for a medicated spray for your dry mouth. Although the nursing staff did not ask I was pretty persistent and they brought me a spray to use to increase saliva. It worked!
