  1. The painkillers they gave you in and around surgery made you comfortable the first 2-3 days. Once that wears off, you start feeling the actual results from the surgery. I would imagine day 4 or 5 would be the worst, then start getting better. This varies, I'm sure..
  2. You've lost almost 60lbs in 2 months? CRAZY!!! You look great!!!!
  3. Wow Your plate is most definitely overflowing. With all those hernias, it may be that your body is a bit malnurished, making it harder to heal. Are you taking your vitamins and getting protein? After antibiotics it is important to take probiotics. Those are the first things that would be good to work on. Talking to a counselor might help your overwhelm. [Hugs] Hope you start feeling better!
  4. I am preop, but yes, that is for real!
  5. Just mention it to the surgeon. I seriously doubt it will be a problem. Just don't get gung ho AFTER surgery
  6. Gas x strips and walking. Good luck!
  7. I also like that approach, BUT it is easy to lose track. What about making the exceptions on major holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries. That way they can be planned for and looked forward to
  8. Yeah, she's great [emoji41]
  9. My 13 year old made me sign a contract that if I die, she gets a purebred kitten and an Alienware computer. I had no trouble signing it, because I wouldn't be there! Lol.
  10. Are there pain patches? Bypass the bypass..
  11. I wouldn't panic. As long as it was stored appropriately, nothing should have changed. After all, they are expected to last for years inside you! But, if you are not experiencing restriction, it may be a good time to think about pulling it and possibly going with a sleeve or bypass. I doubt there is an emergency for removal though, so you have time to figure it all out.
  12. Walking (fast) can get your heart rate up. Might help with the anxiety. Don't start lifting weights until the go ahead from doc.
  13. As soon as I hear heartburn, I think RNY bypass. Your surgeon will probably say the same thing, or at least bring it up. While you are researching, take a gander at the bypass. Even if you go with the sleeve, it is possible you will convert later. Not 100%, but possible.
  14. Good luck! You'll do great! I know what you mean about not believing the photos...
  15. I can officially join y'all! March 20! Sleeve with Dr. Illan
  16. Maybe you rolled over on a spikey strip, and they deflated? My boobs are already by my belly button, wondering what they'll look like if I lose weight...
  17. On exactly what diet have you ever been on to bring your expectations up above losing half a pound A DAY? You are making wonderful progress! Keep your chin up. Keep in mind, slower losers get less loose skin It's a marathon, not a sprint. You'll be fine!
  18. So happy you got an answer. Sorry you are sick Hope you feel better real soon! (Drink drink drink, try to flush those suckers out!).
  19. Just keep in mind the body can only digest up to 30g of protein at a time. Definitely have to spread it out over the day. Good luck! Gonna be protein shopping very soon;)
  20. That sounds miserable! Do you think compression wear might help? Body powders might help with moisture. Maybe something like an ace bandage could help.
  21. If the change was sudden (overnight), you might mention it to your doc. And if it sounds normal to them, then that is great! Yogurt and liquids are supposed to go down smoothly. The restriction should be felt again when eating solids (presumably 8 weeks out). This is why they want you eating your meals and drinking only zero calorie beverages in maintenance.
