  1. So I started my preop diet today... never did I think my body could give me so much pain.. and those darn hunger cramps and headaches and I have to take supplements too. Any advice on getting through this stage.I find that I'm hungry every four hours and after taking my calcium supplements the hunger gets worse. I am taking my daily intake of water.
  2. Wow you look amazing and different for sure.
  3. How far along into post op did you start talking all your meds again ?
  4. Okay so I am on iron supplements, multivitamins as well as B12. Guess I will have to discuss this with the surgeon. He never mentioned this. I guess I'm just really scared, as my date for surgery is approaching soon.
  5. Did anyone stop taking their medication a few days before their surgery ? When did you start taking them ? My dr told me to stop taking mine a few days before surgery. Most of the medication I take are capsules so just wondering how this affects you post op. Swallowing big capsules.
  6. Hi RinRin, My dr was telling me that often it gets a bit worse because when we restrict our carb intake, sometimes the Group vitamins are missed. I have depression but in addition to my meds, I also was prescribed vitamin B5, magnesium and liquid D3. But I'm in Canada so winter time we don't get alot of Vitamin D. Are you able to do light therapy ? But I have been taking this combo of supplements for almost 9 months pre op.. so it has been pretty steady for me. Otherwise I was.like you as well, can't sleep, over night panic attacks, where I would run outside. Maybe talk to your GP and see if these may benefit you. Hugs and hang in there.
  7. Only if I have the surgery in AB, not if I go out of province.
  8. So how is the recovery process going ?
  9. Blanket is a good idea, I'm flying back so I will have to ask the flight attendants I guess.
  10. Sending good vibes mine is Feb 26, 2019. Sending you good vibes.. so my dr gave me a list of things to bring in my over night tote, slippers, loose clothes, gas x pills. (Chewabla) compression stockings if needed. Any medication I am taking. These were the important ones.
  11. How are you feeling ? Hope surgery went well ?
  12. Mine is on Feb 26, so I am nervous as well. Where are you having yours ?
  13. Wow you look so different.. and amazing ...
  14. Yeah, many people from here often end up going elsewhere to Mexico. There was an agency here WLS now bought by a company in BC that used to send patients from here to see Dr Pompa .
  15. The wait time is very long. I had been on the list for 4 yes now and when I called to inquire I was told I wasn't even close.
  16. I'm from AB coming to Ontario for surgery. I don't think AB blue cross covers anything.
  17. Hi there, I have not had my surgery yet, but my eating habits are like you as well and I'm am really worried too. My surgery is end of February.
  18. Hi there, I am wondering if there's anyone from Canada who has had surgery and wondering how you dealt with your provincial health care. Looking for advice on what is covered and what was not. Were you able to claim anything with CRA ? Also if you had blue cross coverage how did that go ?
