We have alot of similarities i still struggle with sometimes eating what i shouldnt not even really enjoyinv it after maybe the first couple mouthfuls the voice in my head saying why r u doing this and then the envitable regret after of why do i never learn food addiction and emtional eating is going to be a lifelong challenge that i sometimes have control of and sometimes dont I also struggled with depression a few months after and weirdly enough anger as well angry at the most ridiculous things which i put down to maybe menopause but its interesting to hear u say the same and oh yes the tummy i have also had three cesarean and the stretched skin from being overweight its not a pretty sight lol i do alot of self talk sometimes i need to tell myself to put my big girl pants on and stop whining i got myself this way and i can either change it or give up its up to me of course sometimes i just throw a big old tantrum like a two year old cause that makes everything better haha

Hi I only just started IF today, doing 16.8 I am two and a half years out from having a gastric sleeve. Put on about 7 kilos since Christmas as I got a bit slack. I've lost 5 kilos so far but struggling to lose the last few. I'd be interested to hear other peoples views and experience as well

I've got pictures of my stomach pouch before , during and after. I nearly died when I saw it as I had no idea he was giving me bloody photos of it lol
I can see where he fixed my hiatus hernia and where he fixed in place my minimiser ring

I had a BMI of 31 and self funded which cost me a shit load of money.
I have had no problems losing weight except now for the last few kgs.
My dr warned me that some people would be very opinionated about the surgery because I never looked like I needed it lol.

Have you changed your diet to foods higher in sodium? If by one of your BP med was stopped, you mean the Water pill (diuretic), it could be you are retaining more salt causing your BP to go up?

I'm curious about this as well, but on the other end of the spectrum perhaps?. My blood pressure usually hovers just at or below 95/60 and my resting heart rate is about 50-55bpm. Sometimes I get light headed easily, particularly standing up quickly from being bent over, and I've noticed it more frequently now that my diet has changed to entirely shakes and almost no carbohydrates.
Who was taking you off your bp meds? Have you had any adverse effects?, possibly its a temporary thing, or just a one off of sorts.

Each person's body reacts differently, if your BP is going back up, might need to be on medications again until it settles down.

I was sleeved 3 Dec 2016. SW - 86kg Before I had my sleeve I had been on 2 lots of bp medication for years to control it. After my sleeve within a day I had come off one bp medication ( have no idea why I was taken off so quickly). A couple of months down the track when my weight had dropped a bit my bp meds were then halved. I had , had my bp taken a few times and it's been ok. 135/70 avg...
My weight had stabilised at around 65kgs ( 3 -4 months ago....
As of a few Days ago my bp has been around 145/82 avg...
has anyone had issues with their bp?..where it has never been ok after weight loss or has gone back up?.

I can understand your plight. That's why I started reading about the long term effects of the surgery and found that acid reflux is remarkable increased by 47 percent. I think it is because the pouch is so small that only so much food is allowed at one time. Have you tried other methods for cooling the flare-ups like not eating past a certain time at night, sleeping with the head of the bed propped up, staying away from acidic foods and juices and of course, you will have to continue your dose of medicine, preferably 1 hour in the morning before your first meal. I have dealt with reflux for years so I know how you feel. Good luck to you and hopefully the reflux will diminished.

I have told most what I've done...
for some I have said " I eat very very little now!"... and they are ok with that
I don't care what people think or don't think.

Since my surgery literally the day after I felt different. I wasn't sure what from or why. 6 months down the track nothing has changed. I have since learnt that I have a lot of symptoms of major depression but mostly apathy or anhedonia.
I know it wasn't regret or from lack of food or missing food as it happened so suddenly.
My surgeon and dr have no idea as to why these feelings have come or when they may go.
I can't laugh or feel happiness the way I used to although I know things are funny I don't get that awesome feeling. I truly miss it . I feel like when I laugh it's very forced.
I am on Zoloft and have been for a while but that was for anger.
My days are ok and I continue on as normal

I have no idea what's going on. I don't feel anything anymore. Not happiness or any kind of pleasure. It's crap.

Had my surgery dec 16 and dropped the weight quite quick. I was 85kgs now 65kgs. With high BP and medicated with two lots of meds and hypothyroidism..
Off one lot of bp meds and halved the other bp med. hypo hasn't changed still on 200 micros a day
Unfortunately I have developed reflux after the op which is ****...
