  3. I'm a truck driver and I returned back to full time truck driving 2 weeks after surgery. No problems at all. Jumping on and off the back of the truck etc.. prob not a good idea but I had to do what I had to do lol.

  5. I never had to do any kind of assessment.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I started weights around 2 weeks after surgery but only light ones. I don't have any contact with my surgeon etc so I've done this myself. I gather cause I'm self funded . I felt ok to walk straight away after surgery. Loose skin around my guts will be a problem but only cause I've had 3 c sections many years ago. No amount of lotions or potions will help loose skin. Weights will help some but not all people. Depending on how much loose skin we are talking about. 3-4 weeks out I was doing weights like I was before surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. Thanks for this.. I'm an uninsured 9 weeks post op sleeve patient from Australia and have only had one folllow up appointment since my surgery. And that was with my dietician whom didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know lol. To she handed me a pamphlet and that was really it.I have found a lot of my diet and post op info from Pinterest and different forums like this one. Sometimes instagram and YouTube as well. I think it's because I was a self funded patient that I haven't really been given the time of day after my surgery. Thankfully I haven't had any complications but I have no idea about what supplements to take except Multivitamins.. Annoying really Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App So sorry to hear that! These videos and his book are really informative. Message me if you want a buddy. I am no expert but I got through it and am happy to help even if it is just to listen! God bless, Gina Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thank u x Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. Yep different for everyone ... I experienced no pain at all. I was home day 3 cause 2 days is minimum here for a stay in hosp. No pain meds after day 1. If it wasn't for the fatigue but I could of gone back to work within days. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. I had my surgery 5th dec too.. I never had prob guzzling water down ever. It got me worried when all I heard before my surgery was how you have to sip sip sip.... nope I could take big mouth fulls. On the off occasion I get a feeling of tightness but not bad. I drink around 2-4 litres a day. And naaaa water goes straight through you so u won't stretch it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. I was around 1.5 - 2wks post op when we did the deed... I couldn't have cared less when we did it lol.. he pested me so I gave in lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I was 43 in dec ( 44 next month) when I had mine. I haven't had hair loss yet ( nearly 9 weeks post op) I didn't have a whole lot to lose so my loose skin which is predominately around my tummy area isn't a huge issue. I have had 3 c sections so I guess I'm used to the already buggered up stomach skin lol. No lotions will help any loose skin only doing weights and plastic surgery will help. No problems with the surgery at all. No pain meds after day 1. I'm off one lot of bp meds and halved another. My thyroxine levels will be checked soon again. I've gone from 84 kgs to 66.9. Most of my weight loss was real quick. Slowed right down now.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Most people are low in Vitamin D regardless of how much sun they get. Maybe so little is absorbed by the skin. You'd think living in Australia we would be over supplied with the stuff lol. Is anyone taking vitamin supplements besides multi?.. I've just had blood tests and get the result s feb 7th for b12. I haven't been told about any others I should be taking Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
