Hi I was wondering how long it takes to be cleared to work out with weights and do hi impact exercise I'm 2 months post op I have been walking but ready to pick up pace.can u tell me when u started.

  • If you are 8 week out, then your surgeon should have cleared you now or will very shortly. When do you see him/her again? I was cleared at 6 week to resume exercise.

I'm 4 weeks out as of tomorrow and started back at the gym first with walking and then when I hit around 2 and a half weeks I added some running in, but only to the point of comfort. Any time there was any discomfort at all in my midsection I knew that meant stop.
