  1. Yay!! You've done well. I know you'll get to the end too....great job! Looking amazing too.
  2. This is my goal. Congrats on your loss, glad you're off those narcs too. Blessings to you hon.
  3. I got tired of salad and the few frozen meals I could choose from. Decided to get creative with lean ground beef, mushrooms, and zucchini noodles for the past two nights. The first night, with the suggestion from a friend, I seasoned it with taco seasonings. It was delicious. In fact, I scolded myself from eating it way too fast, as I had learned to eat slow these days. Tonight I used the same ingredients and used pho chicken broth. Had a great smell and tasted ok, but it was too liquidy. And I couldn't use anything to thicken it up. I think I'd just use the concentrate and not add water next time. Now for dessert in a bit....a decaf cup of Houston blend coffee (H-E-B brand). Maybe a bottle of flavored water too. I have my pre-op appt with the surgeon tomorrow, then the post-op directions appt. non wls related, my dental appt is after that. Oh, and all these are after I chaperone my daughter's 1st grade class on a field trip!!! Gonna be a busy day.
  4. I didn't use Contrave, but Belviq. Didn't work very well and I followed everything to the t. My doc said "nope, not working. I'm sending you to dr Stegemann (bariatric surgeon)". I've tried many times on my own and Belviq. My surgeon told me that only 2% actually lose all the weight and keep it off. The others gain it back. I'm nearing the age of 40. This is my last attempt and will be my most successful attempt too. Hope you find what works for you.

Awww!!! Congratulations you two. Such beauty to be married. I speak nothing but blessings over you two. ??
  6. You cannot condense 30g into 15g. Not possible.
  7. Hon I actually had a fleeting thought to not do this, today. Fleeting. Then I remembered my mother and all her problems associated with weight. I just cannot go down that same road. I have to stick with it. I'm not nervous though, just was sad I couldn't have a slice of pizza with my family. ? You will be fine too...I don't want anyone with pain, cancer, disease all associated with weight. It can be beaten.
  8. Wish we were neighbors.....mmmm, meatloaf!
  9. I tried it during one of my attempts to lose weight. I lost $30 cause I forgot I was doing it. Lol. They have a system that makes it almost impossible for you to cheat. Not sure how they would measure up wls folks.
  10. The first thing I thought was Latin dancing!! Lol. Then i read your post. Love love salsa, both dance and food.
  11. Well, just finished eating my allotted carrots.
  12. Welcome to the thread!!! I'm not in your boat...but good for you for taking charge of your health!!!
  13. go to this site and see what your caloric intake should be at your height/weight/activity levels. http://eatmore2weighless.com/weight-loss-calculator/ For what you listed as your daily food...looks like you're eating less than 500-600 calories a day. It should be way more than that. Check out the calculator above and see what you should be eating whether it's maintenance or losing 2 lbs a week.
  14. Only time and good, hard work will tell.....I hope you get what you want in the end.
  15. Wow hon, you lost a total of 84 lbs from your highest...that's AWESOME! I can't wait to see more afters....keep us posted!
  16. Congratulations! Judging from your before pic looks like you've always been active...but that extra weight gone, you can go like nobody's business, right? Blessings to you on your journey!
  17. I believe you should be eating more. Eating too low will mess your metabolism up all over again.
  18. That sucks. Sorry that happened. I'm supposed to be getting them through Insure Nutrition sometime. I'm in a Texas though. Hopefully soon as my surgery is in one week. How far out are you? Will you have to depend on them anymore?
  19. How are you doing on your pre-op so far?
  20. @esaad I'm excited. I fear this may feel like the "longest" week ever. Lol
  21. Same here. This time next week I'll be driving to the hospital. ?
  22. That'll probably be one of my first soft foods. I love it.
  23. So awesome! Congrats on your loss. I'm always blessed being able to read and see such success in wls. You did very well hon. Blessings to you!!!
  24. If you're cleared for soft foods, take a leap of faith and start. Yogurt, eggs, mashed black beans, etc. I'm sure you'll be fine. Seems like you'll need to get over psyche-ing yourself out first. You can do it!
