  1. Happy Saturday y'all! Hope you all are having a great first weekend since being sleeved. As always, everyday is better. This morning's nausea was there, but so much less than yesterday's. I opted to forego the nausea meds too. Down to the just tylenol if needed. I did wake up hungry, so I've been sipping on my vanilla protein drink that I added pumpkin spice and cinnamon to, for the past two hours. And for sure water too. I made sure to eat my multi in small bites today! Lol. Did not have dumping! Yay! My kids are cleaning. More yay's!!! I'm about to get dressed for a small walk and enjoy our freshly mowed backyard for a while. It was a jungle out there, along with debris from the kitchen renovation. So glad my hubby cleaned it up this morning and took the trash to the dump. Now I'll enjoy it. Hope you all are still doing great! I'll check in later.
  2. Wow! Looking great! Congrats!!! ?
  3. I'm sorry it happened too. Lol. Im feeling better. Just the thought of doing that again makes me feel queasy. I read somewhere that 17% of Sleevers actually get dumping. I guess I may be one of them. Now I know to always eat slow, food I can handle, vitamins did not want to handle-but have to now. It lasted for about 30 mins. I drank more water and walked around the block (longest I've done so far). I just wanted to get rid of the feeling. Ugh. So glad it's over. So, went all day with no pain meds not even Tylenol but I think I'll take some before bed here in a minute. I'm truly thankful for getting better everyday. My binder has worked great too. Everyone have a great night! More updates soon!!
  4. Ah hon. I'm so sorry. The only thing I can think of is for you to go back to why you had the surgery in the first place. This will take putting your feelings of depression behind. It's okay and healthy to grieve and please do, I just wouldn't want you to wallow and dwell in it for so long as you know it's not the best for you to do. Enjoy your marriage, look forward to happy times, and please take care of yourself. Going backwards with the wrong choices of food and why you're eating will only make the matters worse me you'll end up feeling even worse too. On another hand, find a grief counselor if you can, this in turn will help you deal with the depression and grief in the right ways for you. Blessings to you hon.
  5. I think I actually experience a dumping? Without the dumping??? Not sure. I usually chew my multi in pieces very slowly. I wanted to get it over with and thought since it dissolved in my mouth I can just swallow the whole thing. BAD MOVE. I all of sudden got flushed hot, stomach hurt like I've got to throw up. ? still feeling a bit out of sorts. Trying to flush it out with water now. Ugh. I won't ever do that again!!!!
  6. Absolutely!!! I'm doing my best to ignore them.
  7. To a degree..... if you want to ruin your metabolism all over again. Figure out your TDEE then eat based on your activity level. http://eatmore2weighless.com/weight-loss-calculator/ But don't take all of our words for everything (as there are conflicting answers), please seek your nut's advice.
  8. I was curious. There's some on Amazon.
  9. Ah, the good ole days!!! (Mine were in the 80's). ?
  10. That was an amazing post. Truth and funny at the same time. ? Blessings to you on your journey hon!!!!
  11. That part has got to be hard. All clear liquids. I'm allowed protein shakes when hungry so it's a bit easier I think, to fill me up. Hang in there!!!!
  12. I'm glad about this, because I relate it to our body's metabolism being reset. Before most of us (whether you did or not) ate because it was there or it was time to eat (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Now, it should be, you eat because you're hungry. Our metabolism is working...that means loss is happening. Yay!
  13. No. I don't believe so. There are a few people to the exception of not feeling hungry. I posted real and head hunger ques, be sure to read up on it. I've noticed I've been taking in more broth and protein shake too. I feel fine afterwards.
  14. This is what I like in the post op packet instructions I received from my doc in regards to recognizing real and head hunger. Just sharing....
  15. So, I took the m.o.m. Every time I stand up I have to go. Just wish it were all at once. Got my abdominal binder in, oh man, feels a world of difference with it on. Now I know I'll just stick to Tylenol. I have been getting hungry. It's not a substantial amount of hunger, but when I drink some bone broth or protein drink, the spasms go down. It isn't head hunger...cause everything, I mean everything, even things I wouldn't eat, like seaweed and beef stew, sounds good. Lol. So I heated up some chicken and ginger bone broth. I'm looking forward to week two!!!!
  16. I've been doing some walking, but I get so tired fast. So, I stick to multiple short walks throughout the day. I know I couldn't do seaWorld either. Lol
  17. Have fun at Sea World. That's a lot of walking, but I know you'll take it slow. ?
  18. My instructions are exactly like yours. I managed 1 protein shake in two days. Taste wasn't too bad, but I prefer savory to sweet myself. Hope you find something that works for you.
  19. Muscle does not weigh more than fat. A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. Muscle is more dense and takes up less space. But with that said, if you're gaining muscle (doing weights, whether machine or body) and adding weight, yes, it could be muscle gain. But if you're not specifically weight training, most likely it's water. Either way, whatever energy you're expending at the gym, needs to be replaced with more calories and/or water too.
  20. Had mine this past Monday and I haven't once had any regret. I'm glad I did this. The pain will be temporary. We will get through it.
  21. Yes. I have felt this way. It's my right upper side mostly. I was told it'll be a couple of weeks before the pain subsides more. I've also opted to do without prescription meds for pain today. Hasn't been too bad, but I'll have to go to tylenol soon. I've had my stomach do spasms today more than before hot broth helped calm it down. But like @Sweet as peaches mentioned, we've just had major surgery, so we'll need to take it easy.
  22. Thanks! I give much credit to @Thejeweledsleeve. She's been awesome with her updates and paving the way for me as well. ? I was surprised to hear to start my vitamins right away...but I did. Wasn't too pleasant the first day, but it's getting easier.
  23. That's what I thought too. I don't like ketosis, but a temporary time of it, I'll just have to handle.
