I don't know if it was an insult honestly. They were probably remarking to each other you were hot or something to that effect.
Don't get me wrong, they are pigs. But it sounds like a objectifying action more than a personal insult.

Just want to send out a rave because I'm happy with my fitbit.
About 9 months ago I got a fitbit charge hr and have loved having it. A few months ago the band started to come away from the sensor. Not a big deal but it kept getting worse and was starting fall apart. I called fitbit support and got a free replacement. It was a great experience.
This is a picture of the old one next to the new one. What a difference.
    All the best to everyone.

Aww you are making me blush!!!! My son told me today that I look so much younger and that I am beautiful. That was so special to me. He always compliments me even at my heaviest. But he was with me for my surgery and drove 9 hours bk to Alabama from Tx. He is a true blessing. People don't believe me when I tell them I have a son that will be 21 this year, lol.

My body is changing . I am currently down total 21.8 pounds from surgery date of dec 5( 44 lbs from pre op weight of 242 lbs). I feel my body changing daily. scale isn't moving as fast as I would like but I am losing inches everywhere. New years I noticed my face looked different , even since surgery it has gotten a little more defined and smaller. I was like yayyyy, NSV. I have another great NSV. I bought an outfit from The Gap n baby I haven't been able to wear anything from there in like 16 years. I bought a large sweatshirt and size 14 pants ( I used to be a death grip 16 ????????) and the 14 had room and were baggy in waist as well as sweatshirt was very roomy... omg that was a victory for me.

2 weeks should be plenty of time to recover, just be careful with lifting. Right after the surgery, you may feel like it's not possible, but if all goes well, you should be ok. Double check with your surgeon first to be sure. Good luck! I was sleeved on 12/13/16

I don't see anywhere where she was asking for validation. She is asking for advice and if you don't have any, move on. It isn't that hard to be polite. Try it. If you aren't going to "waste your time" then you should have just scrolled on and not wasted those very precious 2 minutes on your hateful and unnecessary post. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU! ANYWAY---With that said......girl, call your surgeon and nutritionist. This is a very dangerous road you are walking. Not only will you NOT be successful in your weight loss journey but most importantly, you are risking your life for temporary satisfaction followed by (im sure) intense guilt. I am really surprised that you are tolerating this food. At a week out, I had trouble getting liquids in. Good luck honey, I will pray for you. Only a week or two more on liquids and then you have a lifetime of good foods. Believe it or not, your life of enjoying food is not over. There are many many YUMMY Bariatric friendly recipes on Pinterest.

@@cantstop87 Please...please...please stop eating. You can kill yourself, quite literally.
Imagine you cut your arm open from wrist to elbow and went to the hospital and had it all stitched up. Now imagine someone squeezing and pulling that incision back and forth tearing at the stitches. It will hurt, it will bleed, it could become infected.
Anytime we eat, our stomach compresses multiple times to digest. Each time it compresses, it is pulling at the staple line that is currently holding it together. Except this is INSIDE OF YOU so if those stitches break, whatever is in your stomach will leak into your abdomen, you will go septic and you could die.
So please stop eating. This is temporary. You will be able to eat again.
If you are drinking fluids like you are supposed to and working on your Protein, you shouldn't feel hungry at all. I think your "hunger" is head hunger, which we all experience.

@ I feel the same way. At 1st I thought maybe my stomach was still too big, but my surgeon reassured me that all is well and to keep up the good work. We just have to continue to follow doctors orders. I am struggling a bit with getting my fluids in. The best is yet to come. Thanks for sharing and Goodluck!

Nothing that comes in a can is really that good anyway. Seriously. It's habit. You will be able to eat anything you want again next holiday season, but you will eat it in teeny portions and while wearing a MUCH smaller size. Focus on how awesome it will feel to fit into booths, wear single digit sized pants, shop anywhere you want...

    It's ALL worth it.

Honestly, I think this is the best time of year to just have had surgery, we are restricted as hell and so we don't binge and gain a bunch of weight. We'll be losing fat and be ready for the summer. Also, if we can get through this, we can get through anything!

    Hi everyone!
I had to search for some older pics because I never allow my picture to be taken, but I found a couple to put next to one from yesterday.
It will be a year post-surgery on Dec 30th and I made my first goal... 100lbs down from surgery day. Woooooooo!
I was 369 on surgery day and today I got 263lbs. I can't even believe it. I also had my one-year follow up with my doctor today and she was estatic with my progress. I went from a 58 BMI to 38 BMI. I has been a long journey and I'm no where near done, but I am, for the first time in a very, very long time, happy :')

I've never faced such a challenge to stay strong then I am with this surgery. 12/5 was my sleeve. Being home for recovery and every single commercial break there are countless food commercials. They are so in your face too nowadays.... so my little PSA is to stay busy or distracted! Adult coloring books, read books, watch old movies, go through family photos, call friends/family and talk about life, go for a walk, knit, sew, crochet, watch Netflix or DVD or Ondemand. Just try to keep temptation or more so TAUNTING food blurbs out of your life while you learn your new normal and recover. My husband also eats in any room of the house except the one I'm in. When my cravings appear he will go out to eat to make sure the house doesn't smell like food I can't have. Anyway just trying to make helpful tips for anyone else who like me had to Learn to cope. Quitting smoking cigarettes many years ago was easier than this. You can't quit eating. But you can quit being controlled by food! We got this

The carbs and sugary food are what is making you hungry. It also doesn't engage your restriction, so you can eat a lot of them. No one like to hear this, but you have to stop eating them, all of them, immediately.
Take three days and eat nothing but lean, unprocessed meat (no sausage, bacon, deli meat, salami, jerky), eggs, green veggies, and healthy fats (olive oil and grass-fed butter. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want, but eat only those things.
This will help you kick the cravings for carbs and sugar. You also won't ever feel true hunger as you get to eat as much as you want, whenever you want. So, you will learn to distinguish true hunger from head hunger/cravings. Also, even eating as much as you want, you won't gain weight and will likely lose.
After those three days, keep eating that way for two days but get (or revive) a myfitnesspal.com account and start tracking your intake.
After those next two days, add in modest amounts of dairy, fruit, nuts, and beans/legumes. Set a calorie goal for yourself -- I would think you will lose weight at 1500 calories -- and stick to it. Avoid grains, starchy veggies (potatoes, peas, corn, sweet potatoes, lima beans), sweets, liquid calories, and alcohol. Stick to your calorie goal.
You absolutely can do this, I promise. 25 lbs may seem like a lot but it really isn't that much to take back off. I have done it before and I know you can too. Good luck!

There are some people who know I have had this surgery, and have been with me the whole way on my weight loss journey. With the exception of a very few, the people at our church are not in that group. This is mainly because I do not know most of them very well, and discussing my personal health choices is not my idea of creating that kind of bond.
So this morning I am sitting in the Sunday morning service. For many, many years, I have dressed pretty much the same, wearing a nice pair of pants, and a low key Hawaiian style shirt. This type of shirt is not only good for hiding my rotundity, it also does a good job of hiding my personal defense accessory, which goes with me everywhere it is legal to go. So far I have lost 114 lbs, and have gone through several shirt sizes. I was wearing a new one today, and it fit just a little shorter than the previous ones I had been wearing for years.
As we stood up to sing the second hymn, I reached down to tug my shirt into its proper place, just like they do on Star Trek. To my horror, as I reached around to pull it down in back, I felt about 1 1/2" of holster sticking out below the hem. And as things go, the woman who sits behind me EVERY Sunday is in a wheelchair, so she has an up close and detailed view of my nether regions.
Sure enough, as I was sitting back down, I felt a tap tap tap on my shoulder. "Oh, great", I thought. "Here we go!" I twisted around in my pew to face her, running through what I was going to have to say to keep her from either going off on me, or quaking in fear.
"Wow, you've really lost a lot of weight! How'd you do that?"
My relief was palpable. I thought quickly.
    "I stopped eating!"
She locked eyes with me, and started laughing, nodding her head all the while. So now I am wondering. Did she see my holster, or was she so taken with my new semi svelte appearance that it went by the wayside? I am not keen to find out just yet. But, this is a NSV in that someone outside my circle of those in the know, and who sees me on a regular basis, noticed that I don't block as much of her view of the pulpit anymore.
