  11. Insurance paid for my sleeve but i just received notice they refused paent on my hospital room. Makes absolutely no sense to me but Im going to appeal it because they authorized the surgery and knew It would be an overnight stay. My out of pocket was $2,500 because thats what my insurance has it set at but with my deductible as well I was $3,000 out. Make sure your doctor is in your insurance network and it will be much cheaper on you.

  14. This recipe is being shared from Bariatric Pal Craving bread? Fill that craving with this declicious and almost carb-free cloud 'bread.' Cloud bread can be used as a snack or part of a meal. Note: This recipe makes about 10 peices of bread. Refrigerate leftovers. Ingredients: 3 eggs, separated 3 tablespoons whole milk cottage cheese or 3 tablespoons cream cheese 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar 1 (1 g) packet stevia or your favorite sugar free sweetener Directions: Preheat your oven to 300*F. 1. Separate the egg yolks and whites into two separate bowls. Make sure that no yolk mixes with the egg whites. 2. In a large bowl mix the egg yolks with the cream cheese OR cottage cheese until well mixed. 3. In a separate bowl add the cream of tartar to the egg whites. Using a mixer (egg beater), mix the egg whites and cream of tartar until they are fluffy, white, and form peaks when you remove the beaters. 4. Fold (don't mix) the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites. Do this slowly and gently so the mixture remains fluffy (this is key!). 5. Take about 10 even scoops (about the size of a freshly baked cookie when placed on the pan) from the mixture and place them on 2 lightly greased cookie sheets (Cooking Spray works well). 6. Place on the middle racks in your oven and cook for 20 to 40 minutes until they are golden brown. Time varies depending on the size of your cloud bread and your oven, so keep an eye on them! 7. Remove from oven and let cool at room temperature. 8. Once cooled, place in a plastic bag or tupperwear and place them in your refrigerator overnight. Note: It takes a few hours (overnight typically) in the fridge to get to the consistency of bread. If you try them too soon, they will crumble. Enjoy this wonderful treat, packed with Protein, low in carbs and Servings: 10 Calories: ~39 per serving Protein ~ 2.4/serving Carbohydrates ~ .5/serving Sugar ~ <1/serving Fat ~ 3g/serving Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Im at 2 oz. of food no matter what type it is. I can drink 3 oz but not one more sip. I'm resolved to these amounts until such time as my body tells me it's ok to take another bite. I'm three weeks post op now and feeling great.
  16. thank you for this info. I had a hard time digesting scrambled eggs and was miserable after eating them. I can eat deviled eggs just fine so I think its the texture of scrambled which used to be my favorite type of egg.

  22. You are doing this for YOU not them so just focus on yourself and all will be fine for you. They will change their minds after they see how much healthier you become.
  23. Wow thats a lot of food for one week out. Im still at 2 - 3 ounces per meal. Any more than that makes me feel aweful. Measure everything and put your utensil down between bites and enjoy. I found I eat less doing this but have to remind myself "put the spoon down" lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Oh yeah I too didn't have to do a two week pre op diet. Its because our BMI is not high enough to require it sweetie. You're gonna be just fine and you let us know when its over. Will say a prayer for you early in the morning. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. Had my sleeve Dec 5 and anxiety is normal. I texted my son in the middle of the night just to say I loved him and tell him where my life insurance policies could be located all why crying silent tears knowing these words could be my last to him if something failed. He came back with "Mom this procedure is a simple procedure and you are gonna be just fine." Still didn't make me feel any better but I got a good cry out right before surgery an guess what, he was right. Im now exactly 6 days out and I feel awesome. So glad I did t change my mind. I now have an awesome future to look forward to in a few months. Cant wait to meet my goal and put on a swim suit. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
