Where are these trolls coming from?

LOL. I know. Don't want any Nigerians coming after me.

Where are these trolls coming from?

I don't know about trolls. I am however, a Naigerian prince, and I do not come to you by chance. The Naigerian government is offering free bariatric surgery services, and a lifetime supply of post op vitamins. Kindly send me your details, and $250 (application form and registry processing fee). As proof, that is my picture along with that of our finance minister, discussing as I was typing this message. Peas be unto yew. Signed, SumGai Onlyne. ***Sent from one of those dubious gadgets***
  3. #Funtrivia. Even this thread about people complaining about oft repeated questions isn't new. Every year someone complains about 'repeat questions' and 'dumb questions'.
  4. I usually go to comedy central for gags... but that's just me
  5. Oh wow, people are asking questions on a forum! Shocking!! Absolutely abhorrent behavior. Ban them all!!
  6. You definitely put in a lot of work! Great job!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  8. Don't be shocked. People are always pissed off here. It's part of the weight 'loosing' process [emoji23] [emoji23] Sent from my SM-N900P using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Mansplaining or not, I sort of agree with him. I don't intend to be dismissive of your feelings of displeasure, but I would advise you to give it a bit of time. Comments always dry out. The analogy of the cancer or amputation is fitting, because let us be honest, If an acquaintance suddenly lost all their hair due to chemo, wouldn't we ask them questions? I initially got many compliments too, and everyone was sort of in my Biz. People got quite nosy. From asking about food choices, to observing what I ate (and trying to copy), it was a lot. Sometimes it even got really awkward, like when a 'casual' acquaintance went as far as asking me if sex felt different and all. There was even this seminar, about health insurance and getting reward points for weight loss,m where I was dragged out to the front by co-workers for no other reason than the fact that I had lost a lot of weight. That was June. Now no one cares. I am even invisible to new members of staff. I'm just a slightly overweight dude to new neighbors. Give it 2 more months, the comments will vanish... save for one or two people (who will always be up in your business). Everyone has those 2 (weightloss or not)
  10. ...Neither is DATEM. DATEM can be made from PHOs or other oils. Premier said their DATEM is not from PHOs.
  11. If you search well, you will find people also attacking the other popular emulsifier used in protein shakes (lecithin) saying it may contain hexane.
  12. PHOs are Transfats though. Anyway, Premier protein has "high oleic sunflower oil". High oleic oils are unsaturated. The drawback is that they have poor shelf life. How do you kill 2 birds with one (and a half) stone? You use the sunflower type (that is more stable), then you add an emulsifier that boosts shelf stability, ergo DATEM.
  13. DATEM can be made using esters of other OILS... and not necessarily PHOs
  14. DATEM is generally recognized as safe by the FDA. It is used to make the shake more 'smooth'. Those who do not use DATEM probably use Soy (or Sunflower) Lecithin.
