  1. I did 6 months of class for weight management. I done with everything. I only have my medical clearance appt and that's it on Jan 6. My surgery is on Jan 30th. I will find out if approved once they turn in everything to the insurance company after my Jan 6 th appt. It's been a 5 month process thus far since my 1st appt in August but it went by so quick . To think my surgery is in 39 days . I know I will be approved b/c of my BMI and my co - morbities- high blood pressure, beginning level of diabetes and minor heart disease. 12. Well said. I'm so going to follow my nutritionist and surgeon's advise on what I need to do . I'm having my surgery on Jan 30th. I start my 2 week liquid diet on Jan 16th. I'm not messing up with all I have done these 5 months thus far. I know what is in store which I know it will not be easy but I'm so determined and focused that I know i will be okay plus it helps that I have an amazing support system of family, friends , my work and church families. 14. No , I start my 2 week liquid diet on Jan 16th . My surgery is on Jan 30th. The liquid diet help to shrink your liver to avoid any potential issues during surgery. I guess all bariatric surgeons are different but everyone I know Including family who had the surgery were all on a 2 week liquid diet b4 surgery. 21. I'm having my surgery on Jan 30th. I wish I would of done last year but I just wanted to do my research and make sure I would be mentally, emotionally and physically prepared. Its a life changing experience that you cannot change back too. I'm having the Gastric sleeve and look forward to the positive changes. I was 245 b4 I went to the seminar, 236 at my first appt after the seminar and now I'm down to 224 lbs. Im so focused , anxious, excited and nervous but it's all to get my health issues in order. I have heart disease, high blood pressure and at the beginning level of diabetes. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  22. My BIN is 35. I also have a mild case of heart disease , high blood pressure and the beginning level of diabetes which is the reason I decided to do the surgery after I had done all of my research these past 8 months despite my cardiologist and PCP reccommanding it to me last year. So I know I made the right choice. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App BMI I meant. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  23. I was 245 in early July b4 I even attended the seminar. When I went for my 1st appt I was down to 236 and as of today I'm 224. In total Iost 21 lbs but from my surgeons stand point Iost 12 lbs since they are going based on what my weight was at my 1st appt and not b4. I'm just so focused on eating right and doing all I need to do b4 my surgery on Jan 30th. My goal weight is 155 and I know I will achieve it and maintain it . 24. Wow, you got them $6.00 cheaper. I paid $12 for my set. I take them with me every where I go. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  25. Well I have not had my surgery yet until Jan 30th . I'm going based on all the research I did on my own for the past year and what three of my cousins said and a very good friend of mine who all had the surgery. Out of the four only one had the lap band . Yes all surgeons are different with their programs. Thankfully none of them had no issues and are doing great.
