  1. I am at the early stages of my journey but can you add me to your FB page?
  2. You look amazing! Does that price include the travel cost of who you bring with you also? Sounds like a good price for all of that.
  3. 53 pounds is awesome! Congrats! Sorry to hear about your knees. I was having trouble with my ankle and found out I also have osteoarthritis in it. I think I may have it in my knee also but have not went through any tests for it. I have been working out about 5 times a week so I should be building muscle. The pounds are just not going anywhere. I think with the restriction I have now I should start seeing some progress.
  4. Hi Treadmillwalker ...Just checking to see how you are doing now. I am finally getting some restriction from my band. I am now at 6.5 in a 14CC band. Hope my weight loss will finally pick up. I have been at a huge stall for months!!! I started working out at the end of December so I do think it has to do with having more muscle. My fat content is going down but my weight is driving me insane. Only down 28 lbs total.
  5. I was the same way! After my first 3 fills I couldn't see any difference. I am just now getting good restriction after I believe my 5th fill. I have 6.5 in a 14 CC band. It should get better with each one.
  6. I love Le Mystere and keep the girls up great! Oprah had a show about them a long time ago. They are pricey in the store but sometimes I can find them on ebay for around $30.
  7. I hope it gets better for you. I was banded on October 31st and have not found anything that I can't eat. I have not had any nausea. How many fills have you had? I would definitely talk to my doctor.
  8. On stage 1 I did mostly chicken and beef broth, Sugar Free Jello and Sugar Free Popsicles and G2 Gatorade.
  9. I don't have that fear at all. I know what skinny feels like and that's why I crave it soooo bad...lol. I weighed less than 130 after having 2 kids went on a medication that changed my life. I gained 40-50 within a couple of months and then I completely gave up on myself. I've gained more and more weight over the years. I finally said enough is enough. I can't wait to see that person in the mirror again. I do however have a huge fear of saggy skin and unwanted wrinkles. That actually scares me to death. I don't have the funds to do any kind of plastic surgery so I am just hoping for the best.
  10. I had a similar issue eating in front of family that didn't know. I did however have a hernia repair when I did my WLS so those that didn't know about the WLS I told them that I had hernia surgery and was on a special diet. Not sure if you are having any other surgery done at the same time though. Now I tell them that after loosing the 25 pounds after my hernia repair that it has encouraged me to keep dieting and losing more. Good luck!
  11. The other site is confusing...I checked it out also. I personally love this site. Everyone has their on opinions and suggestions. I have been one to hold back on here in fear of being ridiculed and drug under a bus for asking a "stupid" question.
  12. Well said and I appreciate having the vet's around to give good information. Thank you for sticking around!!!
  13. Awesome! Congrats to you...very inspiring!
  14. Hey doc...you can have the Cheetos...I have discovered ParmCrisps!!! lol
  15. Congrats to you!
  16. I was banded Oct 31st and so far I am loving it. I haven't had any issues so far and down 25 pounds. This was really the option for me because I didn't want anything as drastic as taking out part of my stomach. I don't know what the future holds but so far I am happy with my decision!
  17. I know the feeling...lol
  18. I had my surgery on October 31st. I had to do 6 weigh in with my primary doctor, Psych test, nutritionist appt., a seminar with the bariatric surgeon and one bariatric class. My surgeon required me to have an endoscopy because of my reflux. There's a lot of hoops to jump through. I wish you luck!!
  19. My fill is going to be 6 weeks out from the first one. Not sure if they do 6 weeks each time but I hope not. I have no restriction. Can eat anything! I still eat way to fast but it doesn't have any effect right now...no stuck upisodes.
  20. That's the same date as my next fill! I can't wait! I have been stuck now for 4 whole weeks!!!
  21. I am still at a stall and it is driving me crazy. Joined a gym and started working out. Totally changed my eating habits but the scales are just not moving. I am choosing better foods but still have an issue with portion control. I go on the 24th for my next fill. I only have 2cc right now.
  22. Congratulations to you!!! You should be proud of that accomplishment. I've lost 25 and I've been stuck for a couple of weeks...weighing daily to just see an extra pound lost..lol.
  23. I know that has to be so frustrating. I hope you come up with a solution.
  24. That sounds awesome...will have to try!
  25. With my insurance (BCBS) I had to have a BMI higher than 35 with one co morbidity. If no co morbidity you had to be at a 40 BMI.
