Hi everyone! I am having surgery on Feb 23 and I have decided that only my parents and my husband will know. I had previously booked a trip to Florida with friends that is now 3 weeks post open. Is there any way I could get the earing changes by them? Any ideas on what I could blame a special diet on? I live my friend but she and her husband have never struggled with their weight and will just never understand! Any advice will be appreciated

I had a similar issue eating in front of family that didn't know. I did however have a hernia repair when I did my WLS so those that didn't know about the WLS I told them that I had hernia surgery and was on a special diet. Not sure if you are having any other surgery done at the same time though. Now I tell them that after loosing the 25 pounds after my hernia repair that it has encouraged me to keep dieting and losing more. Good luck!

I am using the Hernia repair as the reason I have to have a special diet as well. That should work perfect for you.

i'm currently using the excuse of having an abscess in the stomach which is pretty believable

which gives more reason for the specific diet
