  6. I had surgery 2/21. I feel like my taste buds are extra sensitive and i can taste every ingredient in the food and drinks i consume [emoji40]. For example, when i drink water from a water bottle, i can taste the plastic. And when i have anything with protein in it, i can taste the protein. Does anyone else have heightened taste buds since surgery?? [emoji176]

  8. Everyone's different so ... bye! lol nobody asked for your opinion on my case. this thread isn't on me it's about the person who MADE the thread. quote her
  9. My surgeon as well as the other 2 surgeons in the hospital ALL use the drain to make sure leaking stops. It is the nastiest feeling when they take it out. it's slippery and gross. That's the grossest thing i've ever experienced and it's the worst feeling i've had since surgery. Although, it is quick, maybe it's just me and my disgust by it lol. Most surgeons do it though!! good luck

  12. Nope, you can't pick up more than 10 pounds the first 2-3 weeks. then after that you can't pick up more than 20 for another 2 weeks. The time-off post surgery is about a month, but i would let your body tell you if you should go back to work or not depending on how you feel!
  13. and very common in bariatric patients... great
  14. me too, i just looked it up and it says it could be from over eating or not drinking enough. 2 things we are all prone to [emoji19]
  15. Hey everyone! I'm 8 days post-op. Was wondering if anyone else feels a weird, burning feeling in the throat and chest after drinking? it kind of feels like heartburn. It's very odd. Am i the only one or do others experience this as well? xoxo
  16. i'm currently using the excuse of having an abscess in the stomach which is pretty believable which gives more reason for the specific diet
