Taste buds acting funny

I had surgery 2/21. I feel like my taste buds are extra sensitive and i can taste every ingredient in the food and drinks i consume [emoji40]. For example, when i drink water from a water bottle, i can taste the plastic. And when i have anything with protein in it, i can taste the protein. Does anyone else have heightened taste buds since surgery??

Yes! Ugh, the struggle is so real.

Before surgery, I had a protein shake and a protein water picked out, and a backup for each, just in case. Now, I hate all of them. It's so difficult to get my protein in, to the point were there are days that I go without protein altogether (not good, I know). But yes, I have the same problem. It's really something I have to work to get over!
