You are not alone. Remember that pretty much everyone on this board has gone through the pre-op diet. We made it & so will you. You can do this.

The pre-op diet sounds easy until we actually have to do it. Some people want to start it early & run full steam ahead but too quickly run out of gas. This is hard. You're in one of the hardest phases of this whole thing. Know that every one of us who've made it to the other side has gone through exactly the same thing. Dig deep. Deeper than that. Find that source of inspiration. Good luck!

I first tried it two or three weeks after surgery. I added some cream at first, but that quickly went away. My suggestion? Have a sip. Wait 5-10 minutes. If you tolerate it well, have another sip. Repeat. If you don't tolerate it well, you're not ready. Good luck!

Clearly you're going through a lot right now. I love that in the face of extreme difficulty, you're choosing to take care of yourself. That's wonderful! During your appointment, tell your surgical team not only about your home life but also your knee & calf. They should be very attentive to your concerns. Good luck. You are not alone.

I've seen "The Biggest Loser" & "My 600-Pound Life". Both make me ugly cry so I don't watch them. If you gain inspiration from them, go for it!

Try a spoonful. See how it goes. If it goes well, have another spoonful. If it doesn't, don't. That's really how each of us reincorporates food. Good luck. You are not alone.

You are not alone. That's one of the strongest messages to learn in this group or any other. Welcome!

I've never heard of this. Do us all a favor: Ask your nutritionist & report the reason back here for all of us to learn from. Thanks.

I told everybody, including strangers on the street. I never have to worry about keeping my story straight or it coming out later that I lied to anyone. The only person who gave me a negative reaction was someone who could've used the surgery herself! She's no longer in my life so that's no problem.
In my experience, telling people the truth is a less difficult than it seems. Good luck to you!

I'm sorry this is happening to you. You don't deserve it. The next time she makes a comment, get uncomfortably close to her, look her right in the eyes & quietly tell her, "With all due respect, you aren't helping." Good luck!

DaleCruse got a reaction from BigAussieGirl in When do we start to workout?
I don't know where you read that but that's certainly not everyone's experience.
I was sleeved three years ago. I spent one night in the hospital & went home the next day. The day after that I got on a treadmill. That first day I walked 0.1 miles. The next day 0.2 miles. Then 0.3 miles the next day. I took it slow, listened to my body, & soon I was walking 2 miles plus. That's when I started upping my speed.
Each person is different. Start slow when you feel ready. Then slowly increase distance, speed, resistance, etc.
    Good luck!

I'm sorry this is happening to you. You don't deserve it. However, it's very common. By chance, are you on a blood pressure lowering medication? If so, it's time to talk to whoever prescribed that for you to have it adjusted. I took a low dose blood pressure lowering medication until about six weeks after surgery. I've been off it ever since. Good luck! You are not alone.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. You don't deserve it.
If you do the same things, you'll get the same results. But if you break the pattern, you may get a different result. So instead of starting with liquids in the morning, what if you started with something solid? Can't hurt to try, right?
    Good luck!
