    Hiatal hernia and sleeve surgery

Everybody has a hiatal hernia that gets VSG surgery. I'd get the hell away from any surgeon that says it's a rare thing cause it's not. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Day 8

I was the same as you. I went to the gym and went on the treadmill for the 1st time day 8 after surgery... I've worked out with weights hard since 6 weeks and took in a ton of protein.. my weight loss stalled at 3 months. My body is changing and losing inches and only 40lbs from goal but the scale stopped moving. I'm just letting u know that's what happened to me when I was taking in a ton of protein. I never had 1 complication. It's been a weird journey. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I was INTERMITTENT Fasting the past 2 months. That's how I was packing in so much protein. The people I spoke too at my surgeons said to switch it back to 3 meals and 2 snacks.. I'm just trying to hear what worked for everybody else. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Guys- Post Op VSG

How many calories and protein are you guys taking in and successfully losing steady ? I was taking in a ton of protein between 120-150 and around 1200 calories and my Dr said that's too much protein and not enough calories... I lift and workout 5 days a week but have been at a stall for awhile. HW-280 SW-250 CW-220 GW-180.. I use the Myfitnesspal religiously. I just got to find what numbers helps me lose the best. I'm 5 months Post-Op Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Need confirmation

I'm 20 weeks out and have only lost like 35lbs so don't stress it. Just stay active and eat healthy Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Yea I was the same.. everything gets better minute by minute as soon as u open your eyes after surgery...youll be fine taking care of yourself... only advice is give is too really avoid stairs for as long as u can till u feel healed enough to stretch out on them. 8. That's what they said. I went back to the gym and did light cardio 8 days after surgery.. I was lifting 3-4 weeks after. I've been lifting heavy for months... My problem is the scale isn't moving... I had this surgery to lose the weight I didn't think I would be able to do on my own.. I'm 40lbs from goal weight of 180 but it's frustrating to work so hard in the gym yet not see any results on the scale. I see them in my body and in my clothes sizes just nothing on the scale. 9. Yea my hospital didn't release me until I had someone too leave with. But honestly I woulda been fine taking an uber.. just explain to them u don't have anybody in NYC with u. I'm single and I've done everything all by myself. My mom stayed with me my first night home for a couple hours but I was fine and sent her home too sleep in her own bed. I've taken care of myself since being released from the hospital and I've thrived... you'll be fine. Your 7 yr old should help also. I had nobody and I was fine. Good luck, I'm 5 months post oppressively Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Hello everybody, I'm 5 months Post-op from VSG.Ive been in a stall for 2 months. I had an appointment at my Surgeon's yesterday. They told me I'm not taking in enough calories for my body to efficiently lose steadily. They want me at 2000 calories a day. I work out hard 3 days a week and lift very heavy and do Orange Theory workouts 2 days a week. So I'm in the gum burning crazy calories 5 days a week. Anybody else go thru or going thru anything like this before?? Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

Where are these trolls coming from?

Some people like to force theyre beliefs and procedures on eberybidy they can because nobody will listen to them in real life so they come on here and unleash. Try to find a good area and you'll be good. Just don't ever ever post about alcohol. God forbid u have drink 3 mos out . These people will burn u at the stake. Weight loss stops after a year?

Yea i always have been since high school.. my problem is I'm a (was) a binge eater.. and when I would eat the way I did and take a month off from the gym it quickly ballooned me up. U have to find something physical u enjoy doing if u want too be successful long term. Anything, start with walking and move up to speed walking then jogging... biking... but an elliptical... swimming... u have to find something u enjoy Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

    No-No Foods

Anything high sugar makes my stomach hurt and sometimes throw up. So now I limit my sugar intake to a quarter cup of granola once in awhile with some Greek yogurt. That's it for sweets and sugars Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

Weight loss stops after a year?

Yes I took a couple trips and definately wasn't eating as healthy as I should be... luckily I'm a gym addict so that has helped but starting Monday I'm cleaning my act up completely. I got another 50 lbs till my goal weight of 170... I ate like **** during mos 2 and 3 post op. Not the whole time but enough to slow my progress to a slow crawl.. very disappointing.. the vacations were great tho. But I'm putting everything off now till I make significant gains towards my goals. Good luck. It's a process of ups and downs so far for me Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
