  1. Yes. Give it time. I still can't eat bread or anything like bread. I also avoid steaks and things like that. I just had my first fill so I am just experimenting at this point. You will figure out what you can eat.
  2. Wow. Congrats. You will do great. It is such a relief when you finally get it done.
  3. I will. My gut is big and I had twins. Plus my boobs need to go up a few feet.
  4. I will have it. I have a big abdomen and had twins a few years ago. Plus my boobsneed to go up a few feet.
  5. I was up and about. I was tired and a little weak, but the day after was ok. But it's like any surgery and you should expect to rest.
  6. Good for you! iu had surgery in Mexico and it rained the whole time. And I was alone. I never left the hospital.
  7. That's how I felt in Febrary. It was finally me! Congrats.
  8. I am 40. Will be 41 in October
  9. I am 40. Will b
  10. If there's a read streak you need to call the MD. If not, then use hot compresses. It will take a while to go away.
  11. I will have to see it by myself!
  12. You look very different. You motivate me! Keep it up!
  13. You're putting alot of pressure on yourself. That alone will make anyone overeat, especiallyif you've already been using food to cope with stress. Throw out your prom goal. Don't add pressure to yourself. Have a goal of being as pretty as you can at prom. Weight or no weight. Maybe you need a fill?
  14. I had just cleaned up the cookies on my computer and I actually thought maybe I had done it!:embarassed:
  15. I PB'd for the frist time yesterday. I BBQ'd chicken legs and though I could chew some of the meat well enough to go down. Nope. Then I tried al ittel milk to make it go down. Nope. I had to run to the bathroom and I PB'd. It wasn't as bad as I thought. Not a lot of slime. Man, I just can't eat meat after this first fill!
  16. I know what you mean. I was banded on 2/22 and since January I worried that this would fail. Mostly because I was self pay and I knew I would have to pay for any complications. Plus it was money my family could have used for something else but didn't. I have 3 little kids and my oldest has mental health issues. He is almost 9. Nothing in this world is worse than having a child with mental health problems. Except for death. I got the lap band for a lot of reasons (health, decrease pain, comfort, blah blah blah) but I secretly got it because I am 40 and fat. My husband is 41, fat with diabetes and high blood pressure. He will die early, there's no doubt. My son will need someone all his life to help him and I HAVE to be there for him. Of course I want to live a long time and be with my twins too (they are almost 4), but my main reason was for him. So everytime I got nervous, that is what I thought of. If I don't do this I will leave him behind. So write down why you are doing this and everytime you feel like pulling out review your list. Of course being nervous is normal. I will pray for you!
  17. I hope this doesn't post twice. I finally am down some more weight. I was at 324 for 2 weeks and then had my first fill on 2/11. Saturday I weighed in at 316! I must have hit some kind of sweet spot since I can't eat and starches or bread but mushy things like cottage cheese and refired Beans go down ok. I have a mini goal of losing 80 pounds by August when my brother gets married in Barbados. I may actually make it! :high5:
  18. I used to work for an insurance company and no one thanked me for anything. So yes, send a note.
  19. I didn't have to do a pre op diet, but if you are trying the shrink your liver then fatty pizza is definately a no no. Leave the house while they eat. I feel for you....
  20. that is one thing I dislike about living here - Utah is rarely represented in any forums of any kind. I feel like a loner. Sometimes I wish I lived in a more populous state but then I'd have to deal with other problems!
  21. Dr. Green in Payson, Utah did my fill on Tuesday and the man is wonderful. So was everyone at the hospital. I got the watch the fluroscopy and he was very attentive to how I felt. He charges $100 cash and the hospital charges $162.
  22. thanks. There are so many rumors :hungry:
