Social hardships? Ages 20-24ish
I am almost three months post op. I thought this would be an issue during the holidays. Instead it was great practice to take tiny bites and eat slowly. I didn't finish first and found I was far more engaged with people around me. I was designated driver which everyone appreciated Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Shrimp gate
If we could block people I would end up with about ten people. Lipstick Lady would be our supreme leader and Babbs would wear a crown. I agree the site was not designed to be mean spirited but I believe just as passionately that it was never intended to facilitate the level of coddling and enabling that far outnumbers the criticism. It's fine though. The success rate is low and I intend to follow the plan. Eat shrimp and drink alcohol at day 23- you'll survive. You won't get my support or sympathy but you'll find plenty from others here. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

So depressed. Really need help
Alcohol with depression meds is a no no. Alcohol post op is a no no. Call the psychiatrist and be honest about your use and your behaviors. Take care of yourself. Your choices are the only thing you can control. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Traveling 1 week after Sleeve?
I'm two months post op and I wouldn't try a 12 hour road trip now. I absolutely could've been home alone, and would've loved it, at one week post op. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Sugar free stuff
Julie, I too have changed my relationship to food (and many other things) due to my daughter's severe autism. Shes 16 now so these changes are ingrained in my functioning. It requires creativity but does not hinder my journey. It limits some snack and Protein options but I don't mind. When I required the sf products most was in my first month, in particular the two week full liquids. I chose things she would have no interest in so I could limit my exposure and not risk hers. This can be done but I would consult a nutritionist with biomedical treatment knowledge. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

What are pros and cons?!
Best decision I ever made. I was skeptical even during the process of being approved. My favorite part is that it works but my choices determine my success. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
