  1. Now it makes sense! If you don't like introverts you would be better to date the flashier guys. i found the text thing to be hit or miss. Definitely dated some that were funny or charming over text and totally different in person. Hmm. Maybe I was the player by your definition though none of my coffee dates ended in pound town...if a guy tried to pull that, he was out too.
  2. Curious on how that has been working for you? I found that 100%of the times a guy was trying to impress me he was a player. The more charming or on point...the bigger the player. I was looking for relationship not hookup so I actually eliminated guys like that off the hop. I was looking for a guy who was just being himself. I wanted a guy who was not too smooth etc because I wanted real. I was lucky...found it in my hubby. After 2 painful meals early on. One that I walked out on it was so bad...meals were a definite no. Too long and hard to end without being rude. quick coffee or wine dates are easy to end. I met my hubby for a drink after work....you can extend those if you want to but is an easy out if you want to. I used first dates simply as a screening tool to determine if I wanted a "real" date.
  3. Hey...we had the same starting stats!
  4. Are these first dates? When I was dating I NEVER did a meal for a first date. Dating 101... no more than a coffee date for a first date. If you aren't clicking the last thing you want to do is be stuck for an hour or more with the person. Activity dates are good as well, but I'd reserve for second dates. Don't think my husband and I went out for a meal until date 3 or 4 and he was too into me and the conversation to notice what I was or wasn't eating
  5. 1. Wore a minidress for the first time in my life 2. It is a size 4!!!!! 3. No spanx 4. No thigh chafing!
  6. No, I only eat complex carbs though.
  7. I love celebrate chewable iron pills! The chewable pills are better than the chews. Though their calcium chews are good.
  8. I don't follow dr Weiner's diet. I could never give up meat! Never...lol. I eat 75-100 grams of carb a day. About half of it is fiber. I'd like to see someone try and gain on that. Im following the balanced macro plan that a nutritionist who is a sleeve patient lost and maintained on, it is similar to what vsgann follows. I'm not a fan of super restrictive plans of any kind. All I do is eat 35% carb, 25% fat and 40% protein. I eat nutrient dense foods only. So my carbs come from fruit, vegetables, seeds, do occassionally legumes. I eat mostly fish for protein mixed in with some chicken. Fat comes from avocado or nuts, salmon. The only processed food I eat is the protein shake which I use to make my chia pudding. I actually probably have a diet a lot closer to paleo than pound of cure. Not a long term weight gain diet imo. my goal was 170. We'll see if I'm still under it in a couple of years.
  9. Those are the two doctors I follow!!!!
  10. Yep, i follow 35%carb, 25%fat 40% protein. Lost weight faster than I was losing on low carb. I only eat high nutrient and high fiber carbs like fruits veggies legumes and seeds.
  11. Dr Weiner has thousands. My doctor has thousands, most of us got fat on processed high fat/high sugar or simple carbs. None of us got fat on fruits and vegetables and legumes. Have never seen a regain post due to someone's blueberry addiction....never. Not one. It is usually processed crap. what is interesting about my doctors long term stats are his nutritional deficiencies in his patients: for rny are 2%, sleeve are 1%. I wonder how that stacks up against the super restrictive diet docs?
  12. You are eating carbs...those are all great carb choices! Same ones I choose for the same reasons.
  13. Wow you look great! Based on where I am now I'm thinking the thigh lift may be my first surgery. I have loose wrinkled skin on my tummy but no pannus.
  14. I think you may want to try online dating. You know you don't actually meet the people online . it really should be called online introductions. That is frankly where most singles are nowadays. Was introduced to my husband through online dating. My tips for online dating are to not get into protracted online discussions. it was usually one or two exchanges to basically try to assess (cray cray or not) and then on to an in person meet up (the actual dating part). I found people who needed protracted exchanges electronically were usually time wasters and not serious. Frankly I think it is a numbers game. you need to date at lot to meet someone you mutually click with.
  15. Think this is a no brainer, yes you need to eat more. Have snacks. I have a min of 5 and sometimes 6-7 meals a day depending on the day.
  16. Yep that was me last week. 3 separate people pulled me aside and told me I could stop now. Really, I didn't know I needed other's permission to stop losing weight. 2 of the 3 also warned me about looking old or "gaunt" if I lose too much...Mind trip.
  17. if you follow Dr Matthew Weiner on youtube, or dr Duc Vuong on facebook and many other surgeons they will all say it is well known that exercise has little impact on weight loss. it is all about the food. I am active, but haven't spent a day in the gym and don't plan to. I do plan to stay active because I like it. They both do advocate exercise for other reasons like stress relief, muscle preservation etc. but not for weight loss.
  18. once you get the macros you want just go back and adjust the calories. that is what I do when it does that. it can be finicky
  19. My only regret is not getting rid of my band sooner. Especially when I found out how common these issues are. I was angry with myself for keeping my head in the sand. Once I had done a little research I realized it had to go. It does not get better, only worse and it can irreparably damage your health. Get it out asap! Like other ps have said rny is infinitely better. Back to normal...only without the health issues and an extra 100 lbs or so.
  20. Had mine done in one procedure. Unfortunately they just don't know what they are facing until they are in there. I was lucky. Just hope for the best, they are doing it for your safety. Odds are with you being able to have it done.
