Hello
I am in for surgery nect week but the only thing that's really worrying me is that I may wake up from surgery to ring I have not had the bypass done.
I have had my band for 9 years and did brilliantly with it.... unfortunately I suffer badly with reflux and a dilated oesophegusso my surgeon suggested conversion from band to bypass... I have waited a long time for my surgery date but at the pre op appointment last week he said that if he struggles to remove my band he will end the op and then in six months continue to bypass..... this has completely freaked me out... nobody knows I have even got a band.... so what on earth will I say if i come around and haven't had the bypass..... have many of you had the sirgery in one go.... when my surgeon suggested it he made no mention of possibly two surgeries... I don't do well with anaesthetic and i heal very slowly... greatful for any info. I am in London UK.
