  1. I felt the same as you! I regretted my decision, but that was only temporary! I've lost close to 60 pounds and I realize this was the BEST decision I have ever made. Hang in there!

    Anyone not need plastic surgery?

I’ve lost over 50 pounds and yes, I would like a tummy tuck and breast reduction/lift, but mainly that’s for my own vanity. I’m just happy to be so ,icy smaller than before and it’s like I will be entering the Hawaiian Tropic bikini contest, so 🤷🏻‍♀️ meh, for now the loose skin is ok with me.

    How insensitive...

I'm also thinking it was an administrative assistant who was told you were having surgery (your boss probably didn't tell what kind, because it's really not the admin's business), and therefore the Cookies were sent. Too bad your boys didn't specify what to send you- maybr flowers instead of cookies. But yeah- WTH are you supposed to do with cookies? In my case I would give them to my 9 year old. He's got the fastest metabolism! Congrats on your surgery!

    Pre Op diet and diarrhea

Same thing happened to me. I chalked it up to nerves/my IBS.

How have your taste buds changed?

Not really at all for me except protein shakes gross me out- but that's probably because I am sick to the death of them.

When do you feel no pain

I am going on 5 weeks post op and I would say that between 3 and 4 weeks I no longer felt any discomfort, including soreness. Hang in there! Honestly, unless I see my incision marks, I feel so "normal" again, it seems hard to believe I even had the surgery (besides getting full easier, which is a good thing, of course!).

Had a REALLY bad day yesterday

I'm so sorry you're going through this. My mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer recently and had her first chemo treatment yesterday. I sat through it with her- 3.5 hours. I am glad you'll be able to see your dad soon. As for the setback, who can blame you? You'll get back on track. I just know it. xo

    My surgery eve is here!

    Best wishes!

    How many?

4 weeks out 400-600 calories a day. No I don't count carbs. I lose weight regardless.

BMI of 21 getting gastric sleeve... thoughts?

My thoughts on this are...I think it's a really, really, really, really bad idea for you.
  11. Yes, I did. It may have helped. I didn't feel nauseated until the day after surgery but I had zofran and a transdermal patch to help with that. It cost $35 through insurance. I had hit my prescription deductible for the year by that time so it's very possible it would have cost me a lot more if I hadn't.

    Not "hungry", but hungry..?

Yes, I felt the same way as you. 3 weeks plus post op it gets so much better. Hang in there!
  13. Give it another week and try again. You'all be amazed at how much can change in such a short amount of time. I'm 4 weeks out today and everyday is a learning experience.
  14. My husband is far from perfect, as am I, but has been pretty darn amazing throughout this process too. I gotta give it to him. He's very nurturing. He took good care of me as I recovered, plus took over all child care duties of our 9 year old son. For the house I have a once a week cleaning service, so no vacuuming for me, unless a box of Cheerios spills lol. I think some women just don't think they deserve any better. It's sad.

    Am I a slow healer?

I think everyone is different and you have to move at the pace that is best for you. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. On Tuesday I will be 4 weeks out and I have been on mushie foods this past week until week 7. Scrambled eggs, oatmeal, mushed up avocado, yogurt, creamy Soups, etched. Too early for me for hamburger meat or chicken, but I am sure there are those at 4 weeks out who would feel comfortable eating those things. Go at your own pace and don't do anything you feel you aren't ready for.
