7 months and 5 sizes less later I still don't mind shopping for new clothes [emoji57]

I trash or donate my clothes as soon as I drop a size. No going back. I also pretty much only wear fitted clothes. Stretchy clothes are for fat people (because they help you become and stay fat).

Those boots are giving me life!

Ummm...I know it's hard for you to see, but I see a huge difference. Your a very beautiful lady...I see a huge difference. Keep up the hard work.

Before I decided to have surgery I wore clothing size 34/36 but really was stretching it and probably should have been a 38 or so at 540 pounds and 5'10.

I tried on some of my smaller work pants, a size 30/32 but they were big so I decided to go shopping and get the next smallest size.

When I went to the store they didn't have any 28's so I decided to give a 26 a shot...it was TOO BIG also!!

I am now a pant size 24!! This is so exciting to me!! I could not believe it! I have not been a size 24 since 2008 after my lap band surgery (which failed miserably). I can not wait to see how small I can get!

That was the best thing to happen to me in a while!!

I am now down 225 pounds and weigh 315 pounds!!

Its been a long journey ! I havent posted in a long time and I regret not posting my journey. Its been 10 months since my gastric sleeve, the first few weeks where very hard I will tell you that. I dont wanna scare anyone or even someone that hasnt done to read this and change there mind! Dont change your mind we all went through this path and its a life changer! I was a very very big guy in others words i was fat. Everyone used to make fun of me and it hurt me!! Like really bad, I use to eat to forgot my pain the more i ate the bigger i got witch got me bigger and bigger till my doctor told me to stop but i didnt listen to anyone didnt care i was very depressed all the time all i thougth about was food and sleep lmaoo ! I swear till dis day i laugth at myself. I was 325lb 150kg i was a bigg guys. I im currently 170lb 75kg. I got to my goal 2months ago and my goal was 85kgs :S. I droped 10kgs in 2months!!! My last check up was 3weeks ago and my doctor told me to stop dropping. He told me if i keep dropping i will have bone problems and back pain. He said i need to start eating more of a fat diet like Cookies fried stuff etc.. I can eat them twice a week and the rest of the week eat my diet. But dont get me wrong i fell bad that i have to eat those things again! And plus i can only take a few bits and im full !!! What im trying to say is that i had the gastric sleeve and im happy with it it had its ups and downs put make sure your steonger then it! You are 5 ft 5 inches, 183 pounds, you have a BMI of 30.5. Here in the states nobody reputable would touch you. Anyone reputable would send you to counseling.

I had my surgery on June 15, 2015, before surgery I weighed in at 265, I would tell myself it was all good until I had a grand child and I was raising him because my daughter was 17. I started not to be able to keep up with him and it was hard to get off the floor. That is when I decided it was time to do something. So I went to seminar and first doctors appt was in January of 2015, the six month waiting period was very fast and smooth, got a call after my classes were finished saying insurance approved my surgery and was scheduled for surgery less than two weeks later. Surgery went well, after surgery I found out I was allergic to morphine and got sick from the time I woke up from surgery until the next day. Then after that recovery went well. I lost more weight at my one year check up than my doctor thought I would loss, he said that I was in the overweight category and didn't need to see me except for blood work once a year and just to keep the weight off.
Well the last few months has been crazy with my daughter signing over rights to us for our grandchild and all of the sudden the dad, after two and half years, came to court and wanted to see grandson. I say all this because I have been stressed and it is the holidays and I have not been watching what I have been eating and started only working out twice a week. My husband had the sleeve surgery in October, so I was taking care of him, talking to attorney about grandson and running my daycare and taking care of grandson.
While my weight pretty much stayed between 160-165, this month while waiting for grandson's court date, I was not eating a lot. I have actually lost another 5 pounds and am still losing. I have hit my long term goal which is to be in the 150's. I am so excited and I now have a winter wardrobe to fit and look nice in!!! I am happier, healthier, and finally am not letting people walk all over me because I have some of my confidence back also!!!
2016 was not such a good year for our family but we are going to rock 2017. Hopefully this next year my hubby will reach his goal, we will be the best grandparents we can be to our little man and God will bless us with many adventures and memories with family!!!!
I am also going horse back riding now that hubby is under the weight limit to go!!!! Here is a before and this month picture-I am still on my journey!!!

its been hard but I dropped 80 lbs before my surgery and have 140 to go. hard work does pay off! I started my journey in April of 2016 life has changed for me.

Then there are days like today. The photo on the left showed up in my news feed on Facebook. I am only 5 months out from sleeve surgery and down 80 lbs. I had dropped 40 on my own over 4 years by just working out and eating better.

Feels good. I have about 25 lbs to get to my goal and I know I'll do it as I have always enjoyed working out. The holidays and sweets are a battle for me. I am lighter now than when I graduated high school. This journey is amazing and I know it's not over for me. I'm training to do a sprint triathalon in June. This just there's me for a loop today.

15 months out from surgery now. The pictures below are from my heaviest weight at about 376 then in the white shirt is from October, I have lost another 12lbs or so since then and am at 148 now.

Next week I should hear back from insurance for their "approval" and then find out the date for my surgery!!!!! Super stoked!!!!!
Went out to eat at one of my fave restaurants in New Orleans...it was so yummy! So happy I got that out my system before the new year.
All the January sleepers are gonna be like "new year, new me" hahahah that will shamelessly be me! Hahahah
And that's what I'll do....I'll laugh and laugh and laugh about losing weight while actually doing it!
Can't wait to get back into Crossfit! 2017 will be a good year for everyone!

I gotta be honest, I don't miss that 85% of my stomach at all and certainly wouldn't want it back. It wouldn't matter if there was a newer better surgery tomorrow, today I am happy and 100lbs less than I was a year ago.

Their has been some hiccups with my Anemia and Graves disease and my hernia as returned, I'm not going to quit my Dm is normal only one pill now, only one pill for the Htn and, one pill for the Dm neuropathy. ..one day no pills goal is to be at 150-160

I can't believe it's been 6 months. This surgery changed my life completely
I've dropped 8 dress sizes, lost 105lbs and am now only about 38lbs from my stretch goal.
HW - 140kg or 310lbs
SW - 132.5kg or 291lbs
CW - 92kg or 202.5lbs
GW - 75-80kg or 165-176lbs

Surgery date - June 7th 2016

I'm not offended nor am I a food addict, but some people are. Thats just the way it is. For some it isn't an excuse. It's a struggle for everyone it's not the same. I ate like I was supposed to. Straws on the other hand I used one by accident and panicked because surgeon said don't do it but didn't say why. Called my dr but until they called back I asked others. Only to be told by the dr office, oh some people have issues with straws but if you don't it's ok. Not everyone has a "jerk" to keep them in line either. Just a thought if your tired of seeing the same post over and over why bother to waste time reading them or precious time venting a post.

Hi everyone!!
Just wanted to share some success! I've actually been really down lately about how I look. I keep saying I look the same and I still have so much more to go.
I wish someone had prepared me for the head games involved with this process. It takes a while for your head to catch up to how far you have come. My boyfriend suggested I do some shopping and it was the first time I really said to myself "wow, if I stopped here I would not be unsatisfied" and MEANT it.
Target shirt in a MEDIUM (whaaaaaaat! I was in a TIGHT 3xl), Uniqlo jeans in a 29 (they're really stretchy Ive been wearing a 10 lately and my waist is 33 1/2 inches)!

Anyway point of this is...take some time to let yourself enjoy your success. It's so easy to become hyper critical of yourself.
