This is really awesome! It will be so nice to see how everyone is doing. Good luck to all the July babies it’s coming real soon. It’s my 5th day of this preop diet, been a little crazy with my brother in down and parties and going out. Just played it off that I am the designated driver, got to say not loving this liquid and raw veggie diet. My mouth tastes like metal not sure if from Protein Shakes or Vitamins. Yuc. 9 more days to go. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s success. Thanks again Mom_of_chaos.

Thanks and congratulations on your revision.
I can't wait for the RNY revision surgery approval from my insurance companies.

I had Severe GERD before my sleeve and a hernia repair when my sleeve was done..
Within 2 months my hernia came back and my GERD has gotten far worse than I ever imagined.
I am absolutely miserable and I'm taking 10 pills a day and zofran and GI COCKTAIL every day as opposed to 2 pills and occasionally zofran b4 sleeve.
I'm waiting for approval from my insurance companies to get approval for the RNY revision surgery.
I'm doing it for the GERD and tons of people are also having the revision surgery for the same reason.

I just had a bypass as a revision from a sleeve. It was done about 6 weeks ago, and the sleeve about 10 years ago.
I had terrible reflux basically since the sleeve was done, as well as a hiatus hernia.
I have had zero reflux since the bypass was done! It definitely worked for me.

Appears you were not mentally ready for the challenge ahead. That's fine not everyone is suited to such a drastic change in their lives.
But still there are 1000s of people who have changed their life for the better even if it meant making some sacrifices here and there!
& weight watchers, Jenny Craig and any of those companies are ALL FOR PROFIT!!!
NEITHER of those companies guarantee success without HARD WORK and DEDICATION as well!!!

Wow. OK. Well. I had the bypass 5 months ago and I am not struggling. I dont look like an idiot. I eat with my family. I take my Vitamins and drink my Water and I dont carry a bottle everywhere. I just drink it at home. Fill 2 32 oz bottles a day and make sure theyre gone. I had a cheeseburger and macaroni salad yesterday, yes they were very small portions but who cares? You dont need to eat a big plate full of food to enjoy it. My life is almost the same as it was before my gastric bypass surgery except now I'm nearly 50 pounds lighter. This was definitely not a mistake for me.

I just read your post again. Firstly, I still cannot believe you weren't given a diet sheet or informed about your diet post surgery. If this is really truly the case, contact your surgeon's office and talk to them. They have nutritionists there who can help you find your way.
Secondly, it sounds like you aren't just angry at the surgery, but maybe also angry that life doesn't and can't revolve around food any more. I get that. it's really hard. It's been a huge brain adjustment for all of us but you can make it and it does get better. I really hope that you can reach out to your surgeon's office and try to get some support. Maybe sign up with a support group near you, and definitely use this board. The people here are lovely.

So what I have restrictions, so what people see me with a water bottle and so what there are things I can’t eat anymore.. Trust me, I hit my pizza quota and chocolate quota like 19 years ago.. Weight watchers 6xs.. Jenny Craig 2xs.. Adkins umpteen times.. trainers 2xs.. I FINALLY feel like the person I was suppose to be .. my surgery was only a tool.... I was prepared for the hard stuff and now I’m reaping the good stuff.. screw the food.. I chose LIFE

My story doesn't have to do with being pregnant after WLS it has to do with blessings in disguise. My son was six months old when my wife told me she was pregnant again. Wow, we were dirt poor and having another mouth to feed felt like a monumental task. My wife said we were going to have another baby. How could we mange? We already had a six month old and barely getting by. How could we make it with another baby?Well, our second child turned out to be a little girl and I have been in love with her for 40 years. I have been blessed with my two children and I thank my now ex wife for making that monumental decision all those many years ago. You'll know what's best for you and whatever decision you make I'm sure you'll be ok with it. Sometimes we get blessings in disguise. I know I did.

Thank you! It actually went very well. I haven’t had to take the pain meds at this point and have been able to walk around and sit up. It’s just very sore in my left side, but my doctor told that I would be.

✍️ My surgery is tomorrow too. I just had to wash off all the antiseptic wipes because I forgot no shaving 24 hr rule and shaved in the shower tonight! I was itching all over. I am wide awake and have to be at the hospital for 5:30 am HST. No sleep for me tonight either I guess. Prayers for all of us!
