    One Year Out

Wow you look stunning! I know exactly where your coming from re the mind set, its my 1 year anniversary today and im struggling with the mental side of where i am right now
  4. Hi all, well its my first year anniversary today so thought i would share a few pics, bit of a mixed emotional day for me so far, i still feel like i am the same person before surgery, but i know this is not the case.......strange...... Pic from day of the op, and another pic from this morning.
  5. Well guys after my weekend weigh in I have now managed to lose a total of 10 stones in under a year, the weight of my wife! To say i am happy is an understatement, but still a small journey to go but i'm getting there.
  6. Hi all, so i'm nearly 11 months out and so far lost 141lbs but the last 3 week i have hit a brick wall and struggling to to shift any more now, i'm really careful with my intake with volume of food and carbs & cals etc, i'm tempted now to go back onto protein shakes for a week to see if i can kick start the loss again, my partner doesn't want me to as she thinks im becoming obsessed with it now, other than the shakes can anyone else recommend anything for me to try, im at the gym 3 times a week. Cheers.

    Checking Weight

I normally have a weigh in once a week, i hate it when i stall too as it makes me question everything that i'm doing even though i know its all part of the process.
  9. Its different for everybody but just remember your body has just had major surgery and will be recovering but the loss will come just make sure to stick to the plan, i was lucky and lost 16lbs in the first week after surgery but from all accounts it was mostly just water but i have seen others on here with little to no loss straight after surgery. Patience is a virtue and your in it for the marathon not the sprint
  10. What would you say i should be at with my calories intake roughly? Im not suffering with with any tiredness or anything else what springs to mind at the mo with what i'm doing.
  11. Hi all, well following on from my post yesterday about reaching the magic 100lb goal i also went to see my surgeon yesterday, after speaking to him he worked out some percentages and the sleeve alone will get you to lose 60% of your excess weight over the space of 12 / 18 month, i have gone further with a loss of about 65% in 6 months, he said that he doesnt think my loss will be much more now, my question is though at the mo i am having about 700 to 800 calories in a day and at the gym every evening with swimming straight after the gym 4 times a week aswell, now if i am still having the same amount of calories coupled with the same amount of activity how can the loss just suddenly stop, he seems to think that the human body will only reach a certain weight loss before it just stops, now i'm no doctor but this just doesnt add up to me at all, anyone shed any light on this as i want to shed another 60 odd lbs Cheers.
  12. Hi all, so i'm one day off my 6 month anniversary and hopped on the scales last night and i've now lost just over 101 lbs, loving it, just hope the rest is as easy to get off now.

Wow that sounds like it could be painful, my surgeon glued my incision marks, even the one where my stomach was removed from
