Ok here is one pic from yesterday and today. Transformations are happening before my eyes!! My butt still looks really weird, and man does this lovely tummy make my boobs the next priority.

thisisthenewme got a reaction from lillian.b.white in Plastics Tuesday!!! OMG
So I confirmed yesterday that I'm having a lower body lift with fleur de lis Tummy Tuck and Lipo on Tuesday. I'm freakin out!
I meet with a couple of plastic surgeons and have been doing my research. I went back to one for more information and they had a cancellation for Tuesday. At first I was like no way, Tuesday and then I thought man this might actually work better for me. I'll be full time at school this fall and would otherwise have to wait till January. Plus my husbands schedule is more flexible right now.
I can't believe this is really happening!
I have to get the following:
- depends to help with leakage from stitches and those pad things to put on my lazy boy for protection
- land yards to hold drains
- rent a walker and shower chair
- compression socks (they provide compression garments)
- groceries so we have food over the next week
Any other suggestions??
I'll be one night at hospital.

thisisthenewme reacted to Berry78 in Best way to Stop Losing Weight
It does sound like you've found your maintenance level. Take the calories back down to 1200 to keep on losing.
I see your goal weight is 120lbs, but at 5'5.. it could be asking a bit much. Surgery CAN take people that low, but it USUALLY doesn't. A typical result for someone with your stats is to lose maybe another 5-25 more pounds, then plateau.
Strive for the best (I.E. 120lbs), but you might want to wrap your brain around the idea that it may not happen. The surgery has ALREADY been a success.. so we're not talking failure here. We're just talking about keeping a healthy outlook in case the scale doesn't cooperate.
Ultimately, when the scale stops moving, you have 2 choices.
1. You can keep on pushing... keep your calories really low, and exercise. The scale WILL continue moving when you do that. The question is how hungry you'll be, and how difficult it will be to maintain.
2. You can be satisfied, and not worry about it. Find your sweet spot (maintenance calories), and just live your life.

Sit on your butt for a couple of days to give your body a rest. Eat a little more than normal - like 100 calories more per day then get back on your workout schedule. I read the book by the extreme weight loss guy, can't remember his name- he said sometimes you need to take a break from the rigor.

thisisthenewme got a reaction from Lulu_RNY in When do you typically STOP losing weight?
Wow!! You are doing awesome.
The only thing I can think of is maybe your calories are too low?? Just seems a little low to me, to be supporting your activity at school and at 9 months out.
On another note, I really slowed down around 200lbs too!

thisisthenewme reacted to heycrystal2052 in Ladies: The Body differences when you are slimmer
What I enjoy the most, is having my curves back. My goodness, I missed them so much. lol Before, I never wanted to really wear shirts that contoured my body, but now, I can't stand to be in a shirt that's too big or pants that aren't skinnies. I'm getting my breast lift and reduction in three weeks, I'm sure that'll really make me smile!

thisisthenewme reacted to DaleCruse in 10 days out! Don't like preop diet
I've never met a person who was "perfect" preop. I know I wasn't. Do the best you can & use the advice to try different shakes.
If you don't eat anything as you claim, it's possible you're still overweight because your body is in starvation mode & slowing down your metabolism. It seems counter to lose weight by eating more, but it may help.
Good luck.

Have you talked with your surgeon ? I mean its still less than a year after surgery so you should still be losing weight. But surgeon should know your history and the plan youve been following better than anybody, and hopefully should be able to keep you on track.

thisisthenewme got a reaction from zallykatz16 in Abdominal pain, should I worry?
Is it on your right side? Could also be appendix. I don't think gallbladder pain is that low. But I know appendix is...I've had mine out. It is very intense and localized pain in lower right side. And it comes and goes. If not taken out it can burst!! Definitely need to get it checked out. Good luck.

Wow, why can't some ppl just offer some advice and not also be annoying!
1200 calories sounds about right to me, depending on how much you weigh now and how fast you want to lose. 800, in my opinion, would be too low, you don't want to mess with you metabolism.
Also, if your a year out, the weight loss will slow but keep doing what your doing!!

Day 7 - is kicking my butt! Pain from swelling is pretty bad. Off all the strong narcotics and only taking
Tylenol and Advil. Maybe that's why, but I need to drive this week and had to get off them.
Second hardest part of all this is not being able to do the things I used to do with my son. He is 2.5 and it's breaking my heart that still after a week I'm so limited on what I can do for him.
Ruff day!
I see my surgeon tomorrow and they have order me another compression garment. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

thisisthenewme got a reaction from MowryRocks in How are people losing 10lbs/month?!
Hey! You're only one month out. Give you're body a break. Also it could depend on where you started out at. People who start out higher lose more up front, generally. Follow your plan and you'll be fine.

I'm goal this time around is 185 (which is also my final goal!!)
Current weight on Aug 27 was 189.
Starting to get into maintenance mode...a place I have never been. It feels like my entire life I have been 'trying to lose weight'.
