  3. Well updates......I did have my second fill and have lost a total of 83 lbs. My 2 yr bandanniversary was June 4. I would have like to have had more loss....but I'm completely happy if this is as good as it gets. I'm losing about 2 lbs per month however slow it is...its still a loss. Would love to see how everyone else is doing.
  4. I just had my 2 yr bandaversary on the 2nd. I have lost 82 lbs and am 21 lbs away from my goal. Although it's been somewhat of a struggle at times...I would absolutely do it again. You have a great weightloss and should be very very proud of yourself. I went from a size 22/24 and am now wearing a size 13/14. Keep up the good work and love to see pics of your before and after.
  5. Snuffy...r u still doing the jazzy junes spreadsheet...if so I am down 58 lbs.
  6. Thank you so much for your kind encouraging words. It really put things in perspective on where I am with this. Thank you so much. It's so hard to talk to those that aren't banded and/or who are struggling. Its a perspective that only those that have gone through it can relate.:grouphug:
  7. I am so glad to read your posts..not that I am glad you all are also struggling, but because I have felt like such a failure. I have only lost 53 lbs and just celebrated my 1 yr band anniversary. I too have not done all my part to help loose the weight. I have only had 1 fill and that was months ago, but I am getting stuck at times. I am able to consume much more then I should and know a fill is probably due, but am afraid since I am on occassion getting stuck. I would love to chat with those going through my similar circumstance.
  8. Am struggling myself. Having just celebrated my 1 yr bandaversary I am pretty depressed. I am only down 53 lbs. I had it in my head that I would be to goal in my 1 yr...wanting to loose 100 lbs in 1 yr...not so... I know alot of it is my fault. I have gone 1 month w/no loss. I have only had 1 fill and that was months ago. I sometimes still have PB's so am afraid of getting another fill, but I can tell I am able to eat more quantity. Has anyone else struggled and had this little of weightloss. I feel like a failure. I know people are like, you only lost 53 lbs in one year. I really don't care, but I know I should have done better.
  9. Oh I completely agree Miss Meliss about the eating I apparently was having way more fun then anyone should have. I just find it amazing how much we depend on food and how much I enjoyed the even planning part of it...I already had my meal planned out and eaten before it physically was. I loved to think about food, eat food and plan it...and now I find myself trying to just eat to get my calories...now not that there aren't times I have cravings but I am seeing a transformation of my attitude when it comes to it...and thinking it through with should I be eating it and will this get stuck. I am actually surprised it took me this long to get here I guess. I wish I could have severed the ties much earlier with food. Jadensmom I am so sorry for your difficult year. I am so proud of you that you did indeed to lose anything after a year like that....just think of what you will be able to lose when things settle down for you. Great job.
  10. We just recently switched over to homegrown meats. We butchered our own steer and pig a month or so ago and can really tella difference as far as even the quality of the meat. That was one thing that I always hated was the additives that was put in our stuff. We even bought chickens to raise for their eggs....I am trying the whole natural approach in hopes that will help my family get back in shape and cure some of our ailments. Will let you know over time. We are going to be planting a garden as well...we hope. Boy I am glad we bought the 2 acres years back..who knew it would come in this handy...
  11. I am down 53.4 lbs since June of 08----very very slow going, but am happy to say it is still inching down.... Wanting summer to get here so maybe that will help me kick start stuff and get out and do more. I am finally at a point that I am loving my band and releasing my hold on food. I don't sit and wonder what's next to eat. I kinda dread eating trying to figure out what I can and want to eat has become a pain in the A%#!!!!
  12. Woo Hoo am down 48.4 lbs since June of 08. I know it's SLOW going, but it's going and that's the point. WOOOHOO. I can't wait until I can get to that 100lb loss mark. Great job fellow bandsters.
  13. :tt2:Woohoo. I am down 36 lbs. Can't believe it. Still a bunch to go but a third of the way there.
  14. Well I hit 34 pounds this morning..woohoo. I had a 2 cc fill last Thursday and have lost 5 pounds as of today. I am so glad I got the fill, but wish I hadn't waited so long out of fear since I had gone 6 wks with no weight loss. I went from a 24 to now an 18 so far...wooooooohooooooooo.
  15. :thumbup:I had my first fill yesterday...I was banded by Dr. Rod June 4th of this year...and have lost to date 30lbs with no fill. I had gone 6 weeks with really no weight loss so I decided it was time for my fill. I got a 2cc fill (I have a 4 cc band) and can tell I have restriction. I am able to keep soup and liquids down so far. I have already lost a pound since yesterday's fill. I am hoping this was what I needed because I was getting really discouraged. I was told by Dr. Rod and by others that any weightloss you have prior to your fills was considered icing on the cake so I am hoping that is the case.....with me. I think had I not been exercising I would not have lost or might have even been gaining back these past weeks. Has anyone else experienced my similar story and if so how are you doing now? It is nice to not feel HUNGRY...I tell you for the first time in my life I know what it is to be content without haveing overeat to get there. I don't feel the constant hunger PANGS and the constant need to eat. I never realized just how hungry I always was. As I set here right now my stomach is churning and growling, but I am not hungry...and I love it. I guess that is the sweet spot everyone has been talking about. I felt it right after I was banded up until I started not losing and I could tell that I was hungry and I was snacking and eating but it was gradual and I didn't know just how much I was eating until now....it's 10:30 and I haven't had a bunch of mid morning snacks or anything...woooooohooooo
