Sleeved 9/6 my anxiety is crazy because I'm having no issues getting Protein or liquids down. I also don't feel full but other people told me once I start more dense food that will change. On another note I walked a full mile today =)

So tomorrow 19:00hrs 9/13 is sleeve day.
Pre-op diet went well...lost around 20lbs in the two weeks. I'm motivated, I have had a word with myself and we agreed we are ready and excited about the future. No second thoughts.
However crapping myself with the magnitude of the next 24 hrs.
So this time tomorrow I will be post op and on my way to a better, healthier wardrobe... I mean life .
Thanks for the support from contributors here on the forum. Long may it continue. I look forward to sharing my before and afters at some stage ...!
See you on the other side.

In my early days I experimented with some new Soups and just had the broth while they ate the Soup, then as my diet progressed I blended them. It made me feel better early on to eat what they were eating.

A scale is a must for me. You have to be able to watch your weight so if it starts to go back up you can do something about it early. Also, it's a great motivator to watch it go down!

@@britt_lewis2011 I think many of us have similar problems. I'm on Wellbuterin pre-op. My issue isn't necessarily binge eating but more boredom eating / emotional eating. I went to a therapist for 6 sessions pre-op to deal with that and found them to really help. Continue with the therapist! Stay strong!

Ok. I'm not huge into taking pics. Had my son take these outside since I couldn't get a full shot in the bathroom.
No comments on the bags under my eyes-- I haven't slept well in weeks.
I wore this top for one reason only- I haven't worn it since the day I turned 40- over 9 years ago. My husband threw me a surprise party that day and that's what I had on when I walked into the house.
    Ok.
    Ok.
Ok. Here goes- new Calvin Klein Size 10 Skinny Jeans. On me. Weighing in at 176 today.

A TMI moment for you. I've always joked that I'm hung like a Japanese pornstar. Imagine my surprise when I look down at my morning wood and my penis is longer! I immediately call in Jeanna to enjoy this "miracle"! She comes in and deflates my excitement by saying that it isn't.???? That is when I realized that perspective is everything, my junk isn't bigger, my belly is smaller! Heck yeah! A win is a win and I'll take it!

I spent a lot of time shopping and reading labels before and after surgery. I made a notebook of food ideas/recipes. Pinterest is great for Bariatric surgery recipes. I still buy low fat low sugar yogurt and cottage cheese, tuna, smoked salmon for my husband. I opt for low fat chicken broth to cook with. I still choose the low fat Soups for emergency. I love the ease of rotisserie chicken for chicken salad, etc. Three years post op I am now drinking Protein Shakes once a day to jumpstart some weight loss. The best advice I have is to just choose foods which are healthy for you, and I am now on a journey to leave processed food out of our diet. I think of the years I got fat eating Lean Cuisine and WW meals daily. Never again. Good luck!

    Damnrite !!!
Finally....having a penis matters in something significant. Heck yes.....bring it !!!
I've found that one thing really seems to be universal among all the wls patients, both with and without a penis, is that we tend to lose more in that first post op month if we had good momentum going into the surgery. Our bodies are flushing out the Water weight and the post-op inflammation more quickly. Just my broscience theory.......

Happy Labor Day everyone! My procedure is tomorrow morning at 7am. I have to be at the hospital at 5. I am so incredibly nervous! I haven't told anyone that I'm having wls so I don't really have anyone to talk to about it. I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I know I won't be able to sleep so I will be preparing meals for my family for the rest of the week and cleaning the house tonight. I have 5 kids so I'm actually looking forward to being away for a day. I can't wait to see the new me!
