Age, menopausal and under active thyroid

Hi folks -- like many of you, I'm post-menopausal, and I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in my 20's (I'm 56 now). I was sleeved on 9/14, and have lost about ten pounds since surgery, which seems like a huge drop to me! I was pretty nervous about going through with the surgery, but I had finally gotten to the point where I realized nothing else was ever going to help me. Not too concerned about the weight loss right now, just want to heal up and get back to eating solid food , but after that, I'll be content with slowly and steadily heading towards my goal. Good luck to everyone here!
  2. I am 56 and was sleeved on 9/14. So far no complications, not much pain (after the gas pains went away), trying to keep walking and stay hydrated -- good luck to all of us!

    Sleeved 9/14/16

Hi, I was sleeved the same day as you, and I can agree, the first two days were pretty sucky, but since the gas pain has subsided I'm not really in much pain, so Tylenol is sufficient for me. I am keeping up with the fluids as best I can; my main complaint is I can't sleep for more than two hours at a time, I am uncomfortable lying down. Hope the biopsy is ok, keep on keeping on!

    September 2016 Sleevers!

Just got home yesterday from Wednesday surgery; how are you all doing? I think the gas pain was the worst of it! Not much pain today, just a little uncomfortable.

    September 2016 Sleevers!

Scheduled for 9/14, a little nervous -- not looking forward to the procedure, or the liquid diet, but ready for results!
