  1. If she feels it while she's drinking or soon after, she may be drinking too fast. With her new restriction level, she may need to change the rate in which she drinks. I know that is true for me. I have to drink much more slowly when I'm more restricted and if I don't or if I eat something wrong - immediate chest pain. But with chest pain you have to be careful - check with your doctor. Wish her well for me - Let us know how she's doing.
  2. Hmmmm? Let me think about that.......NO WAY!!!!
  3. Hey, Angie. I've been away from LBT for a few days and I'm so sorry all that happened. 2 weeks ago I went through the same exact thing, 10 days of no solids and very little liquid. It was HORRIBLE. I went in for 2 unfills with a 6 day period and was so worried about a slip, but thank God it wasn't. I was unfilled quite a bit and today I go back for a fill. I sure hope it's better this time around!! I'm sure glad you're feeling better. It's such a wonderful feeling to be able to have liquids without horrible pain. Good luck to ya & keep us posted.

  7. 189/182 - I've lost 7 lbs so far. I actually gained 1 lb this week:think because I had to go in for an unfill last Tuesday. I've really struggled with being hungry and having cravings that I haven't had since my first fill. I'll be able to go back for a fill in 1 more week. That'll help. NSV - No one has said anything about my weight loss so far until yesterday... 2 completely different people said something out of the blue. It was just what I needed after such a hard week. Good luck to all - I really enjoy reading everyone's NSV's!! Keep up the good work!!:cheer2:

  15. My Jazzercise instructor on Saturday handed out a flyer stating you should multiply your goal weight by 11 to see how many calories you should be eating to arrive at that goal weight. So if you want to be 130 lbs, you should be eating 1430 calories per day. I really think, though, that what works for 1 person may not work for another. One person may need more/less calories because of their metabolic rate. Good luck in finding what works for you!
  16. I was the same way out of surgery. Very hungry until my first fill. I, too, could eat anything and I was able to eat as much as before surgery. After fill #1 all that changed. Most people don't have an adequate restriction level after their first fill, but I sure did (although it took a coupld of weeks to "kick in"). My first fill was done at 4 weeks post op. Good luck with your first fill.

  20. Just checking in.... start weight 189 today..........181 Down 8 lbs  NSV - ok, here it goes. During you know what last night, my DH said he could now feel my pelvic bone. I guess it's been too padded to feel before now. Interesting, huh....
  21. Breakfast Protein - try turkey sausage, it's very good. Also, if you have a crock pot - slow cooked meats are very tender and easier to eat. Good Luck!
  22. I really love Ryka's. They're made specifically for women's feet and they have a nice cushion to them. Try a bunch on and see what works for you. Good Luck!
  23. 1/15 B: pb'd on milk L: 2 ritz crackers & 3 bites potato soup, then PAIN D: feeling better - protein shake, 2 whole wheat crackers w/peanut butter, 1 pepperoni w/cheese (from kid's pizza) S: Sugar free pudding Water: not nearly enough Exercise: Nope, not today
  24. I started Jazzercise about 2 months ago - I love it! When I started I did very low impact and started out slow and went about 3 times per week. Now I'm up to high impact and I go about 6 times a week. I love the atmosphere - there are all kinds of people - young, older, overweight, underweight, normal. I did Curves a couple of years ago and liked it alot for a while. It's a very easy and gentle way of getting into the routine of exercise, but I found that after a while it just wasn't enough for me. I had a hard time keeping my heart rate up enough after a few months.
  25. 1/14 B: Protein shake L: Potato soup D: Lean pocket/few green beans Water: better today Exercise: 2 1/2 hr Jazzercise
