restriction

Hello! I know this question has probably been asked and answered a million times on this site, but am I suppose to have restriction before my first fill. It seems like I can eat just about anything and I stay hungry!!:) I had surgery on Dec. 28th and the doctor told me we would talk about a fill on my next appt, which is Jan. 30th. Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks a bunch! ;)

I was the same way out of surgery. Very hungry until my first fill. I, too, could eat anything and I was able to eat as much as before surgery. After fill #1 all that changed. Most people don't have an adequate restriction level after their first fill, but I sure did (although it took a coupld of weeks to "kick in"). My first fill was done at 4 weeks post op.

Good luck with your first fill.

You're normal! Don't be shocked or upset if you gain weight before you have a fill or even after a fill! It took me 3 fills to reach a level of good restriction! Just focus on following the guidelines your surgeon gave you & on letting your tummy heal!

I would have said the same thing, including the 3 fills!:heh:
