Hi! I'm also on July 28th! So close...I'm trying to stay focused and keeping my body calm.

I quit caffeine cold turkey 4 yrs ago and never looked back. All I drink now is Water and occasionally juice. I can honestly say that I can sleep so much better without it. Good luck to you which ever way you decide to go! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

So my surgeon sent me my "before" pictures yesterday, which of course made me want to take an "after" pic to compare. My surgeon does the "official" after pictures at the 3 month appointment when the scar is more healed. So I snapped a couple of pics today. It amazes me. There's only a difference of about 5 pounds in my weight since before and after surgery, but it seriously looks like a huge difference. I couldn't be more pleased with the results so far.

I have scar sheets on the scar, so we will see how that ends up, but so far so good.

I am 3 month post op!!! 52lb down! Working on toning my arms and legs.... Its been wonderful, i am now able to go on the swing with my 3 yr old and i can actually fit on it!!!! I started at 318 now down to 254 totaling 64lb in less then a year. Cant wait to see what the next 3 month brings. My goal is 180 or below. I became a coach today for beachbody going to start out with Shakeology it has amazing Vitamins and minerals not to mention the nutritional benefits. The best part it doesnt taste like chalk and only 160 cal in 2 scoops. Needles to say im feeling over motivated!

And for a scale, I love my Cuisinart digital scale because I can weigh in grams or ounces.

No matter how “lenient” your pre-op diet may sound compared to other patients’ diets, that doesn’t make it any easier for you. You have every right to complain…as long as you stick to the diet. Yes, I think we all found the pre-op diet hard, so you’re definitely not alone.
I am so glad for you that you have all that support. It will make an incredible difference as you continue on this journey, both in terms of practicalities (it’s easier to pass up the chips and dip when you’re not watching your husband have it) and in terms of feeling confident and knowing everyone’s behind you.

Hi there.
Had my surgery on 7/13. It was painful, but I was up and feeling better that evening. Unfortunately, Aunt Flo came to pay a visit during the surgery.
The hardest for me is still getting in all my fluids and Protein. I've been off pain meds since I left the hospital, and am back at work today for the first time.

Found out today that I have a 2 day liquid diet, so I guess I should feel pretty lucky!

The surgery took about 2 hours, when I woke up the first thing I asked was if I was sleeved and the nurse gave me thumbs up. Feeling so much better today, been walking around and eating ice chips. Also July 26th. It does seem like there are a lot of us. I am in the middle of my 2 week liquid diet. Mine is pretty strict and the food I had to get is awful, so I am really looking forward to surgery just to stop eating lol. Good luck to all of you!

Ok so here is something to make u sisters laugh in the stress ofndieting and prepping for our surgery next Tuesday. So since i begin my preop doet tomorrow i have been literally CHIWING DOWN. im having food funerals ALL DAY EVERY DAY. my 11 year old son just told me that im like a bear preparing to hibernate for the winter (because im eating so much)

I had it all in one surgery as well. That was my biggest worry, having to have 2 surgeries, but my surgeon said everything went perfect, no problems and not much scar tissue. I had weight regain with the band, I was also throwing up a lot and having a lot of pain when eating, all this with my band being empty. I'm so glad i made this choice! Had my band to sleeve revision yesterday, it was successful! I am officially sleeved! Yesterday was pretty rough, only got out of bed once, feeling much better today. Am having my "breakfast" as I type this. One ounce diet cranberry and one ounce berry Isopure. So far so good! Getting my catheter out in an hour and then hopefully it will be easier to get around!

I had my surgery 12 hours ago and I am relieved that there's been no pain except for the gas pain in my shoulders. I literally asked them did they do anything or just knock me out and wake me up again lol. As soon as I was able to walk (about 4 hours after I woke up) I even went and checked in the mirror! I handled Water really well, just remember the small sips! And I've been moved onto the clear Fluid phase. I just want to reassure people who are nervous about the pain and I pray that you have a smooth ride like I have so far!

Day 1 of liquid diet down! Wasn't bad. I'm a little hungry now and hoping I can get to sleep, but was pretty comfortable all day. Kept myself busy which helped. Good luck to everyone starting tomorrow, and also for those having tests done.

Don't worry-you've got this.
I just had my RNY 9 hours ago & my pain is about a1 or 2 out of ten. Mostly sore throat from being intubated & pain when using abdominal muscles to sit up. No nausea, & I've had 108 ounces of water/protein shake already.
I feel WAY better than I anticipated, reading the posts on this forum. So maybe you'll be lucky like me!. (I had lots of people praying for me, & I was anointed w/ Oil of Unction at my church-maybe that's what did it.
