    POOP?

I was sleeved 6/27 and I finally pooped 7/1. I was allowed to take miralax, and I only took that once. Walking really helped me get things moving

    Late June Sleeve Buddies?

June 27th surgery here. I was allowed to start full liquids today but the plain yogurt I had did not agree with me one bit. I've also been on my period so I was a cranky uncomfortable mess. On the plus side I finally popped today so hopefully I'll be a little less uncomfortable. I just want to be able to walk without feeling like I'm doing the "pregnant waddle" Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Hi all! I was looking through the Christian Sleevers posts but I didn't find one for Orthodox Christians. I'm Coptic Orthodox and I was figured I could start a support thread! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Pre-op 2 months ago

Update. I just called my doctor and asked and they said that my old tests cleared me and I don't have to worry about any tests or anything. I guess all doctors do work differently. But if anyone was/is in the same boat as me I would love to hear it! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

That actually makes me feel a little better. Like I said I'm sure my doctor knows what he's doing. It's just so different from what everyone else is doing Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Pre-op 2 months ago

I filled out all the paperwork at my pre-op meeting. But I guess I can call, but I feel like they would have told me if I actually needed something. I'm Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Nope, I only had my original blood work from when I first met 6 months ago.
  11. I am scheduled for surgery next week (June 27th!!) and when looking around a lot of people with dates close to mine are having their pre-op appointments this week. The last time I saw my surgeon/had an appointment was April 14th. I guess I didn't think anything of it at the time, but no I realized that he has no idea how much weight I lost since or any other information. I guess he knows what he's doing (its a respectable surgeon at a respectable hospital) but has other people had such a huge gap betwee pre-op and the actual surgery?

    Shaving before surgery

Thank you for all the ideas everyone! I decided to just shave now since its a little over a week before my surgery so all nicks should recover. (Yes vanity got the best of me lol) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I have PCOS so I was blessed with hair everywhere (including my stomach). I generally shave/use hair removal cream during the summer (for my own sanity, not that anyone sees it) and I was wondering if I should shave pre surgery. I kinda don't want people seeing my stomach looking like that (although I know the doctors most likely saw worse) but I'm worried about ingrown hair when they close the slits. Anyone in the same boat/have any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
