That's unusual. Usually you have a pre-op appt at the hospital to get blood work and surgery instructions. You may want to call.

I wouldn't worry. I started the workup for surgery in another state. They did things there completely differently than where I live now. There, they had a half day pre-surgery appointment with labs

I am scheduled for surgery next week (June 27th!!) and when looking around a lot of people with dates close to mine are having their pre-op appointments this week. The last time I saw my surgeon/had an appointment was April 14th. I guess I didn't think anything of it at the time, but no I realized that he has no idea how much weight I lost since or any other information. I guess he knows what he's doing (its a respectable surgeon at a respectable hospital) but has other people had such a huge gap betwee pre-op and the actual surgery?
