    Should I tell my housemate?

Tell him the truth, that you're on a doctor managed weight loss program. That's what I tell people, and they accept it for what it is. I tell them I'm keeping calories to under 1k per day, and I use the vitamins, protein drinks, and bars for the nutrition benefits. All people want is a reasonable explanation they can believe.
  3. I don't need these, some of them I bought at the beginning of summer, all in very good condition. If you need them email me at sccdavis @ yahoo . com or PM me and I can send you pictures. I only ask to be reimbursed for the postage.

    71 & 19 days away.

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. I will be 5 weeks post op this coming Monday.(8-15) I'm down about 43#, and Iv'e been stalled for a couple weeks. Hoping it'll start back up soon. I have 40# to go. Chuck
  5. Well, 18 days post op, and finally getting some energy back. This surgery is hard on an old fart. Had my first Mexican food today. Made 4 quick and dirty cheese enchiladas and ate one. Heavenly. Before, I would've snarfed all four down, but 1 was definitely enough. Down from 275 to 240, but it hasn't changed in 4 days. Guess I hit a 'stall'.
  6. 2 weeks today since I had WLS and I've felt weak and tired the whole time. I can hardly make myself take a walk. I'm taking vitamins and protein, but 64 ounces of water is hard, because of the 1-1/2 hours without water for meals. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

You want to take health advise from Coke?

When I was a kid a bottle of Coke was 6-1/2 ounces. Now a bottle or can is 12 ounces, or 16, or 24.
  8. Being able to see my johnson for the first time in over 20 years.
  9. 71 years old. Max weight 275. Weight at surgery 259. 7/11/16 Currently at 244
  10. My kids and wife know, plus one good friend. No one else needs to. Anyone asks, "I'm on a Dr. supervised weight loss plan.". Which is completely true.

Which Food Did (Or Will) You Miss the Most?

Not a big pasta fan, don't care a lot about sweets. I'll miss chicken fried steaks with mashed potatoes and gravy, Big ol' greasy cheeseburgers, Fried chicken, Mexcan food, especially chiles rellenos.
  12. Well, 1 week post op. I started pureed food today, tuna, lofat mayo, and sweet pickles. Soooooo good.

  14. 2 days post-op now. Abdomen still pumped up like a balloon. Getting up from the bed is nightmarish. I can't take any more of that foul broth, so water is my friend. The stomach brace is my other friend. Make sure you have one before srgy, you won't regret it. Looks like going home today. Good luck to you all. Chuck
  15. I had mine at 2 PM yesterday and the srgn fixed a hiatal hernia that I have had since my early 20's.. It's now been 24 hrs since. The only problem I have had is the awful pain in the abdomen from all the gas they pumped in for the surgery. Hoping to go home tomorrow. Working on liquids Chuck
