Another fat, embarrassing moment, UGH!
Totally understand! I applied for life insurance about 3 months ago and was denied because I weigh too much ???? Sent from my LG-H811 using the BariatricPal App

Very beginning
I am also just beginning my journey. I have my first appointment Tuesday 8/16 with my surgeon. I am excited to become a healthier version of myself. What I have found through this site is everyone seems to have the same fears about WLS. It has been comforting to see I am not alone with mine. I wish you well on your journey! I am sure when all is said and done our only regret will be not having it sooner! Sent from my LG-H811 using the BariatricPal App

warner Robins Georgia!
I am from Fayetteville. I had an appointment set up with a surgeon on Monday, but just found out he is not a network provider so I am in the process of restarting the process. I have found a new surgeon and hopefully will be able to get into see him soon!

Mentor just south of Atlant GA?
I have just started my process to have WLS. I go to my first appointment with a surgeon on Monday. I have attended his information class and he has verified my insurance will cover my procedure. I have done a lot of research on the procedures since discussing it with my PCP. I have began making some changes to help prepare for life after the surgery. I have already started retraining myself to not drink while eating and to wait for a while before and after my meals. I am no longer drinking from a straw. I have started looking for new recipes to make that fit in the new lifestyle. (One of my hobbies is cooking) I have purchased a food scale and something similar to a magic bullet to make my shakes and puree my food. I have gotten a Garmin vivo3 to start paying closer attention to my activity level. I am excited and scared all at the same time. I know this is what I need to do for myself to complete my journey of getting healthy that I started 4 years ago. I would like someone who is farther along in the process to talk with and get ideas and just general support and encouragement from. My family and friends are super supportive, but I think it helps if you have someone who has been in your shoes.
