sorry this is very long - so long you can maybe drink your 64 oz now
    hi there
    don't dwell on the past
    done and over with!!!!
    can't change anything
you now need to only concentrate on the present and be excited about your future
i am here to give you encouragement and say good for you that you realize you must get back on the schtick!!
were you successful losing any weight?
when people go back to their old eating ways, its usually said to go back to basics with your Protein drink. drink lllllots of Water too
do you still have a nut you can speak with????
    but you stopped seeing her??????
will insurance cover seeing nut at least a few more times
    ???
if not - can your pocketbook handle a few visits?? a couple of times???
i think that would be helpful
you took a big step by "showing" yourself here
    asking for help and advice
    that can/is hard to do
    good for you
do you remember all the rules???
    eat Protein first
    measure your food
keep track of any and everything you eat in MFP for example
    water rules are extremely important
drink at least 64+ oz Water a day
stop drinking about 1/2 hour before you eat
do not drink at all while you are eating
do not drink for 45-60 minutes after you eat
get minimal amount of carbs and sugar too
    use small utensils, small plates
this will help "fool" you that you are eating more than you really are
    put utensil down between bites
i was told to stop drinking any soda (diet too)
    no more straws
coffee was limited at first for me
then i could have a little
but coffee rules are different all over the place
do what you were told, or told now by a nut
there are other rules too, my brain is too tired to remember right now
never compare yourself, weight loss, to others
you will lose at your own pace
    you will probably have stalls
try not to let that get you too down - happens to the best of us (easier said than done)
take your measurements every 3 weeks or so
sometimes you might not have lost weight for awhile
but inches are going down (and so are your clothes sizes)
if you can get a nut - even for a brief time
listen only to YOUR Nut - what he/she tells you
all NUTS and docs give different advice
if their is a support group around
that would be great to go to
    you are starting over
meeting others in your stage would be helpful
it would be nice to meet others in the same stage that you are
talk with post oppers too, they can help
i'm sorry you got off track, but you can find your way back
    i know you can
My NUT/dr told me "eat til i'm full, then stop two bites earlier"
i don't know if or where your restriction is
i definitely would stop eating by the measurements of your food
don't trust the sleeve telling you to stop, not at this time
work hard with the sleeve, and the sleeve will work hard with you
i know you want to be successful
and i know you can be
ball is in your court - hit it out of the park
    what do have to "loose"??
    good luck
    kathy

I got my fitbit a week ago. I did some research about it before buying. In several studies the fitbit had an almost perfect score in calculating your steps. Best score for heartbeat accuracy. Best place to wear it is 1 to 2 fingers width ABOVE your WRIST bone. Not to tightly or will hinder accuracy. For me it took some getting use to wearing it higher up on my arm. I also have to check if the fitbit has slid down to my wrist and is loosely turning. I started wearing a Bracelet under fitbit and am now comfortably wearing fitbit above wrist bone. Overall the Fitbit Charge 2 (which is the model I have) scored the highest out of all other wrist trackers. I wear a 7 1/4 bracelet. I was going to get the small band but got the large one because of placement above wrist. I got the plum color and love it. Goes with everything. The sales person at best buy suggested I try Amazon to buy additional bands. For a "fitbit" brand name costs around a $100 . (Fitbit hasn't come out with additional band colors for the charge 2 yet) On amazon you can by bands that will work with fitbit products. For charge 2 you can get 10 colors for 39.99
    Merry Christmas to me.

First, I confess. I lost over 124 pounds in 11 months without exercising. I was so big for such a long time, and have been sedentary for years. It takes a while for the mind to realize how much the body has changed. Even six months in and 90 pounds down, I found myself moving my body slowly, bending carefully, as I did when I was in the 320s.
Well, I recently crossed into ONEDerland, and instead of doing something indulgent, I got myself a fit bit. It came in the mail on Monday, and I have been using it all week. I find this to be a highly empowering tool, that is rapidly making me obsessed with walking. Being able to track my progress and then press myself with how much activity I have recently added, keeps me constantly trying to beat myself/record from the day before!
I also could have come to realize that this gets me out from behind a computer several times a day, into nature, and is supporting my mental health, plus giving me tons of energy. Who knew!?
I highly recommend this fantastic tool, and I invite you to contact me if you have one and would like to "walk together!"

If you ladies haven't tried LuLaRoe clothes you might want to look into. They are super comfy (think pajamas), stylish, versital, reasonably priced and you can wear one size for quite awhile as you shrink.

It amazes me that I am still discovering things that make me want to post on this thread, I honestly thought that after a year some of these things would be normal, obviously not
I went to the gym this morning in a pair of leggings and a tee-shirt (previously the thought would've horrified me) and I have been quite brave and ventured into the free weights area, this daunted me for several reasons, mirrors other people and general lack of confidence probably the most significant - anyhow I realised as I was stood in front of said mirror this morning I took a glance (or three by the time I understood what I was thinking) and saw a whole different person, it was a person that wasn't fat and didn't need to hide from people or the mirror (far from perfect too I hasten to add) but that is probably one of the most accepting moments I have had of myself in my whole life and all I can say is wow, I really need to stay in touch with this person inside me. I'm sure lots of other people have had this epiphany and I'm not sure why it took me so long to find it - but it was such a good feeling this morning I felt inspired to share.

I make "pizza" in a shallow bowl.
A touch of olive oil, with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes and garlic powder.
A thin layer of Mozzarella cheese next.
Toppings like bacon, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, etc.
Another thin layer of cheese.< /p>
Microwave it for 30 seconds or so.
    YUM. YUUUUUM.

Tomorrow is the day! Super pumped and no nerves yet.
I started my process on 10/22/15 by attending and informational session. Almost didn't continue with the process because my BMI is on the 40 border and thought I'd be "punished" for losing weight prior to surgery and would no longer qualify. Lesson learned; always ask questions!!!
I started on a 1,600 calories a day diet for the next six months per my insurance requirements. I have lost 27 lbs. so far! I am hoping to be down to 250 for surgery.
I have been on a mostly liquid diet this past week. My doctor said because I've lost more than double the ask that my daily pre-op diet could include two Protein Shakes and a Lean Cuisine or similar meal.
Last night was a shot of MoM - gross! Today it's all liquid. SF Jello and Water for Breakfast. Lol. Will have Bone Broth for lunch and dinner. Water, water, water!
That's all for now. Just signed up today. Looking forward to learning a lot here and about the new me!
