Thanks !! & I don't meant to compare the surgeries I just mean the urgency. I don't want to think of vsg as an elective procedure. It must be done for my health it helps my nervousness

I had the dietician & Psych appt's today. I have two more Appts with the surgeon before surgery time. I'm trying not to be nervous & anxious since surgery scares me. I'm comparing the VSG to my gallbladder surgery must be done no if's or butt's.

I've read alot of post's of people being scared of the post VSG changes. I feel like I'm the only one who's only scared of the surgery itself. I'm not scared of changes after the surgery or even the pain. I'm more scared of surgery and being under anesthesia. I've had one surgery in 2011 for gallbladder & was literally crying the night before.

Yes I also have about 3 months surgery should be around end of October / November. I try to stay positive also reading everyone's post about being done with the surgery helps the anxiety.

First appt consultation today. cigna access plus insurance required 90 day supervised visits my doctor scheduled me for all appt's at once finishing up in October , looking at a late October / early November date if all goes well excited & scared !
I did find interesting my doctor says he is strict about chewing very slow but not so much on limiting food, he says by week 3 he allows white meat.

I have taken 2 Flintstones Calcium rich ones, my surgeon recommended that kind plus a calcium gummie. But I also started at the beginning of 6 month weight check and some counseling from my PC I found out about Biotin Vitamins, I tale 10,000 units ? Every day, still do.
It has helped me to have my hair not to drop out as much and better nails.

Hi !! I'm also very new here. I made an consultation appt & assured my insurance covers vsg. have my consultation on July 5th. I'm nervous , excited , anxious. I'm reading this board everyday so happy I came across it.

I had a "best friend" like this now she is someone I catch up with every now & then. It's not her job to put you down especially without a lack of information if she was that invested she would do some research & this coming from a person who thought the same about people who had WLS surgery lazy , easy way out etc. I tried & tried lost & gained finally I did some research & it's definitely not the easy way out.

I used to live in the New York city but now moved to the suburbs in Pennsylvania where there's a lot less "fat moms" or maybe less different people, maybe more critical people. My daughter also getting older and I'm becoming more conscious of being the fat mom it does suck

I just started this journey & have my first appt in 2 weeks. I also go back and forth thinking I can do this alone, it seems easier than surgery. The thought of surgery scares me but then I think of the last 13 years I gained prob around 80-100 pounds I've tried gyms, diets, crash diets nothing has worked. I lose & gain double One of my coworkers who was so depressed & struggled so much with her weight had it & it has made me consider it. I've seen other people get wls but something about how happy she looked made me consider it now I'm pushing myself even with fear.
